Whatever happened to F1 drivers after their F1 careers are over, well here's the list
1.) Ralf Schumacher - the younger brother of 7x title holder Michael and drove to Jordan, Williams and Toyota is currently driving for a Mercedes team in DTM series in Germany.
2.) Rubens Barichello - after driving for Jordan, Stewart, Ferrari,Honda & Brawn winning GPs and replaced by Bruno Senna in Williams F1, left without a drive in Formula 1, he went racing in ovals in Indy
3.) Giancarlo Fisichella - the former Benetton, Jordan, Sauber, Renault, Force India and Ferrari (substitute for Felipe Massa) won a handful of races in his career but after his short stint with Ferrari he became their reserve driver, he raced for AF Corsa-Ferrari in Le Mans Series and became champion a year or 2 later.
3.) Keke Rosberg - the 1982 world champ with Williams and the father of Nico Rosberg, was able to race in the DTM series in the 90s and managed Mika Hakkinnen and his son Nico.
4.) Jean Alesi - raced for Ferrari, Jordan & Sauber won a single GP with Ferrari. Raced with Mercedes in the DTM series after his career in F1 was over. Reunited with Ferrari in Le Mans Series a year ago and now races on the Indy series and earned the oldest rookie to race.
5.) Gerhard Bergher - the famous team mate of late great Ayrton Senna was proud to say he made the former champion laugh. He was a 10 time GP winner with Benetton, Ferrari & Mclaren. After his career was over in 1997 he became a sporting director on BMW and later on bought 50% of Scuderia Torro Rosso in 2006 but after he realized that Red Bull has no plan for the Faenza squad to become winners mr. Bergher sold his share.
6.) Gianmarina Bruni - yeah he raced with Minardi (the current Scuderia Torro Rosso) he raced for Ferrari in Le Mans Series and became a champ there.
7.) Alexander Wurz - Raced for Benetton, Williams and Test Driver for Mclaren came back to Le Mans Series to race for Peugeot after leaving Williams, and soon gave Audis run for their money as he won Le Mans alongside other former F1 drivers Anthony Davidson, Sebastien Bourdais, & Stephane Sarazzin. He is currently racing with Toyota on Le Mans
8.) David Coulthard - He drove for great teams like Williams, Mclaren & Red Bull, after his career in F1 he drove again in DTM and become an F1 commentator
9.) Takuma Sato - the former Jordan, BAR, Honda and Super Aguri driver went to Indy
10.) Marc Gene - used to drive for Minardi and became substitute to Ralf Schumi in Williams went to Ferrari to become their test driver after his career never took off.
11.) Justin Wilson - drove for Jaguar went to Champcar then Indy and became a winner
12.) Jackie Stewart - the 3 time champion set up his own team Steward Ford which became Jaguar and then Red Bull
13.) Nicky Lauda - after becoming a 3 time champ with his stints on Ferrari, Brabham & Mclaren, he set up his own airline company
14.) Kazuki Nakajima - well after Toyota left F1 and never renewed their engine supply on Williams he was left without a drive and as of this writing he is competing in Le Mans for Toyota
15.) Tiff Needel - yeah the former host of Top Gear in UK, drove a single race in F1 during the 80s for the team called Ensign, after that he raced in British Touring Car Championship and had a good career in broadcasting for Top Gear UK later on in 5th Gear (ooppps)
