Industry Gossip / JDM Honda Civic No More, 2012 ASEAN Civic and other Civic news

I've been reading some Honda Civic forums from other countries and the latest rumor is that there will be no more replacement for the Honda Civic FD (at least in Japan).
Even some are speculating that Honda is going to stop production of the Civic.

Although for some other countries they have already received a replacement for the FD. Come the 9th Gen Civic and ours would or could look like this: http://bharathautos.com/spied-2012-honda-civic-asean-model.html

Reviews of the car from the U.S. is that the car is better than all the Civics from the past. Better in terms of fuel economy and comfort but lacks the passion and soul of its predecessors.
They even compared the Civic to the Corolla, since both are now boring to drive.

Motormouth / What company started that big gapping mouth front design?

Just a question here. What car company started that big gapping mouth front fascia that is being copied by almost every other car company? Is it Audi when they launched the TT and A4?

This design seems to be the template of most cars today. Whether they blacked-out the gap between the upper and lower grille or just simply remains as body colored. Some try to fake it that they are not copying the design by just using a really big grille that almost eats up the space of the bumper.

From Audi's A4, A6, A8 to Mitsu's Lancer, to the new Swift featured at the main page. Skyline also has it, even the Camry, is inspired by this design.

The Innova's life cycle is nearing the 5 year mark. Are there any rumors of a replacement for this class-leading MPV from Toyota?

I've found a new MPV recently launched by Toyota in Japan. Could this be the Innova's replacement?

Asian Originals / Honda Jazz 1.3 M/T, Need your inputs

I am planning to buy a Jazz 1.3 M/T. I am a traditional driver that is why I am opting for the M/T variant. Sadly there is no 1.5 available with a manual tranny just like in the states.

Anyways, could you give your reviews with the 1.3 jazz M/T? All the top gear reviews of the jazz are for the 1.5 A/T model.

And if you are to choose between a 1.3 city and 1.3 jazz which of the two would you pick??

Sounds like I need Botchi for a WCRC advise in here. Hehe
