Guys, please share your interesting facts or trivia! Make sure it is related or somehow related with cars, for I presume that everyone here is a car enthusiast. We are in TopGear forums anyway. No flaming please. Let's make this thread interesting and informing!

Let me start. Did you know?

That the JWL symbol you see on rim/wheel stands for Japan Light Alloy Wheel (JWL), standard for passenger Cars. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport requires that aluminum wheels for passenger cars bearing certain plated numbers sold in Japan bear the JWL mark. The JWL mark can be displayed on wheels that have passed the standard.

Motormouth / Strut Bar 101. Help please!

I am thinking whether I should buy or not. I made some study about it; According to others, it's not advisable if you do not race. On the other hand, they say it's useful whether you race or not. However, the effect is not so noticeable when used under ordinary circumstances only. Therefore, it's not practical to purchase.

So, what do you think?

I saw it in a forum which I am not a member. They classify their car as either Euro version or JDM Version. However, I dunno the difference between the two. And I cannot find it on google.

Driver's Lounge / Value-losing cars.

This was my experience when I was looking for a used car with a limited budget. I know of course that the older the car is, the cheaper it is. Except for classic cars, luxury cars, and the like. And I understand why other cars have a good re-sale value, like pickup trucks, because they are so useful.  I also understand why cars like Accord, Camry, Expedition, and such, cannot have a good resale value except when modified or loaded. For the reason that they consume too much fuel and as it ages it gets worse, therefore inefficient anymore.

However, I noticed that some cars, despite their recentness, are suffering cheap re-sale value. And I am wondering why. To be specific, some of these cars are: Nissan Sentra/Exalta, Chevrolet Optra, Ford Lynx, and etc. I want to know what made their re-sale value so cheap compared to others. Currently, I am concluding that the availability of their mechanical parts are greatly affecting their value. I hope someone can explain this matter for me.

Pimp your Ride / What to dress my '02 CR-V?

My brother gave me his car as a Christmas present. Honestly, I don't want it but I cannot just sell it for he might get upset. So instead, I'm planning to make some modifications!

However, I cannot think of what more to do with this car. It's kind of pang pamilya na car and not pang porma, and in my case hindi naman ako pamilyado. Estudyante palang. That's why I'm asking for a help! I need your brilliant ideas so I can finally transform this car into a crowd-pleaser SUV! Also, I am planning to paint the bumpers so it'll look like a 2005 model.

So far, napalitan ko na sya ng mags, concept one at bumagay naman. And pinalitan ko ng red honda emblem since maroon ang color nya. Nothing more. I cannot think of anything else, since hindi naman ako nagagandahan dun sa LED tail light.

My unit is a 2002 Limited Edition Honda CR-V.  Thanks in advance! God bless the Philippines!
