Pimp your Ride / Re: Rims/Mags/Wheels help
« on: October 09, 2012, 07:05:17 pm »
go for the CE28 (copy) 15's and wrap it with 195/55/r15 tires.
This is the perfect fit in terms of looks and ride comfort for your car. I own a similar car like your's only that it is a Mitsubishi and tried rim sizes of 13s, 15s, 16s and 17s.

yup my bad. thank you though.
just wandering where did you get all your knowledge in the auto industry?.

Some say he reads other car mags aside from Top Gear. And that he also dreams of cars at night.
All we know is he is not The Stig, but he is the Stig's Car-Wiki Guru. :)

Car Comparison / Re: 86 or honda city 1.8

Only if there's a 2-door Civic Si being sold here. Then that would really qualify for a good comparo.
Front Wheel Drive vs. Rear Wheel Drive. Ooops sorry I'm already off topic. :)

Car Comparison / Re: 2012 vios vs upcoming mirage

go for the Vios, but if you can manage to find a good deal for a Honda then go get the City.
You can't go wrong with either one of those.

I managed to drive this SUV twice. It really feels solidly built. It's fast and when you drive it, it feels like a small sedan. And when you go fast it somehow feels more planted.

I highly recommend this SUV. The only alternative to this vehicle is the Subaru Forester.

Go for the Altis. The '02 Civic has lots of hidden problems not known to many.

I am not sure why that guy hates the MS so much. Well I am no lover of the MS, Fort or Fe nor am I an expert in giving opinions. But with the number of MS we see everyday isn't that enough of a proof that the MS is the better vehicle than the Santa Fe?

Yes the 4d56 is old and a dinosaur but that doesn't mean that it sucks. Its not just about the engine but the overall performance and dynamics of a SUV. Have we forgotten about the following when comparing cars?

1. Handling
2. Comfort
3. Reliability
4. Utility
5. Ruggedness
6. Looks
7. Maintenance Cost
8. Badge (which I think is still being considered by many Filipino buyers, remember that Mitsubishi has already established their name here in our country)
9. Features

Asian Originals / Re: Hyundai Accent 1.4 M/T: Comments, Suggestions
« on: September 23, 2012, 07:35:10 pm »
Features alone can't justify a car's worthiness. The Honda is superior than the Hyundai in terms of overall performance and driving dynamics. And since it's a Honda it would probably last longer than you'll do. :)

Considering all factors mentioned the Grand Livina is the suitable choice.

I agree with Feeter Silverster, just keep your car stock as much as possible. Stay away from body kits. A nice set of rims that will complement the Civic's looks is okay and lower the car. (Stay away from Chrome rims please).

I'll go with the City then Vios. Remove the Aveo, Accent and Rio on your list.

Car Comparison / Re: Tucson 2.0 R eVGT, Escape XLT or ASX GLS
« on: February 13, 2012, 04:48:14 pm »
The Escape maybe old but its my pick. This particular model of the Escape that's still being sold in our country had great reviews from the US.
Not only i had the chance to experience a ride in it in the US but also here as well.
I must say, its one solid vehicle overall.

I don't like design of the Tuscon. Although its common nowadays maybe its good afterall. Or it could be the competitive pricing by Hyundai that's why this SUV is selling like pancakes in our market today. Let's wait for the Hyundai afficionados to comment on this.

ASX? I think its overpriced, has a small boot and a not so practical option.

Car Comparison / Re: fiesta vs. Jazz vs. accent vs mazda 3
« on: January 31, 2012, 11:35:10 am »
Hi Kaisershadow, sadly walang M/T yung Jazz. Ako din gusto ko ng manual na 1.5. Ganda ng chassis at makina. Although may paddle shifters naman and I've driven it so many times and I find it fun to use.

Hindi naman hirap sa overtaking yung 1.5 since may paddle shifters naman. Problems? The Jazz is almost perfect except for the sporty ride quality. Don't expect a City-like trait of comfort.

Can't wait to watch season 18 of Top Gear UK. Finally, James May and Jeremy Clarkson goes to China to test some Chinese Cars. This is exciting. :)

Narrow your choices down to the Rav4 and Forester. Forget about the Tribeca.
Now with the Forester included, this is the one I will recommend.
