Car Comparison / Re: Cruze's fuel consumption

My Dad is planning to buy a brand new sedan and the chevy cruze 1.8 is on top of the line. After asking about my opinions, I start to check some forums about the cruze. There are good talks/reviews about the cruze. However, I have an issue about the fuel consumption. I haven't read any forums about its fuel consumption. Hope you could help me about it.

You can also suggest a sedan that might be worth buying than the cruze.

If you're driving say less than 15,000kms a year then go for a petrol.
An oil-burner is excellent in driving lost highway.

Mitsubishi is set to unveil a new generation of vehicle at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March, previewing a “gradual transformation in Mitsubishi’s design language,” according to the Japanese manufacturer.

The new concept is, according to Mitsubishi a “premium and innovative vehicle” set to go on sale in 2012.

As part of Mitsubishi’s environment-focused “Jump 2013” business plan, the firm has chosen the Geneva Motor Show as a launch pad for its new vehicle, citing Europe as the most challenging global automotive market and therefore a worthy venue to launch the car.

The re-focussed design language that Mitsubishi will exhibit with the new concept vehicle is said to be an open design concept – designed to be flexible enough to suit specific vehicle requirements, according to Mitsubishi.

Not confirmed, still on the drawing board.
Reliable source, a Mitsu insider said that there'll be a diesel Fuzion or with a downsized 1.6L petrol engine then sayonara to the Adventure AUV.

Next gen launching is 2013 in thailand & expect the STRA-NAV (Strada-Navara) sharing platform.
Guess that it will be powered by their latest oil-burner 4 banger 2.2L from the current Euro-spec Outlander & a diesel-hybrid variant?  Same it will be more of a lifestyle ute than a workhorse. Exciting to wait Mitsu fans.
