American Muscle / Re: NEW FORD FOCUS
« on: March 20, 2010, 06:33:29 pm »
From what I know, we should get the new Focus in 2011.

Anyone else have a different timetable?

I agree with GH on the SF ... provided walang imminent new model release.  I guess we both value our behinds.  hehe.

No fair on the Ford 2.0 Gas vs. TDCi comparo though ... the TDCi has a VGT FMIC turbo while the gas is NA.  Also, per TGP, the TRS units are VERY heavily modded and a track race is very different from road use as well.

BTW,  TDCi yung Ford ko but I also have a gas turbo.  They're VERY different beasts IMO.

Actually the mods for TRS units are not as heavy in regards to and around the engine.  You could get almost the same level of power with relatively minimal physical upgrades to the engine itself.

Anyway, thats another story for another day.  ::)

but people don't just "fall in love" with a car just because it's "affordable".

And even at P2M, it's not "affordable" to you.  Daddy might be able to afford it but I doubt if he would buy it for you.

I loved the looks, badge, specs but what really caught me is the price.

My point is. I loved it because my dad could buy this or I could in the future. My new love is the genesis coupe. Hahaha! I think it's really impossible that i will have a life like what you have. LOSER LIFE. This lifestyle runs into our family.

Yeah. I doubt it too but he could buy it for himself which I might use after I get my license when I turn 18.

Sure Spunky, whatever fantasy floats your boat.

Daddy's little boy.  ;D

Hoping car manufacturers would have conscience to lower down the prices of their cars. Low prices equals high sales mix the good economy.

car manufacturers are in it for the business.  They aren't a charity.

As for BMW cars, one of the main reasons why it is expensive is the distance to ship these cars from Germany.  The other reason is the taxes imposed by the government.  Example is the 1-series which is supposed to be at the price level of a Honda Civic in Europe.

Nope. My point is it's because of my lifestyle so that's my opinion which you always oppose. Got it?

Poser? Do you want me to pose the picture which is on the link i posted here? Hahaha. You'll see.  8)

Please do not quarrel in the forums. We're matured enough to know what is right and wrong.

Well, we are mature.... as for Spunky, I doubt if "mature" is applicable yet or ever.  ;D

AFAIK, diesel engines require more maintenance.
one example is that you have to change oil every 35oo kms whereas its 5k for gasoline engines.
and sa gear shifting, its best if you shift gears at 3500 rpm for diesel para fully burned ang diesel fuel whereas sa gas its safe at 2000 rpm

and teh rush of the power of a gasoline engine is so much greater than a diesel engine. bitin ang diesel bro.
my opinion lang ha

Maintenance of a diesel engine is about the same with recommended with gasoline engines, at every 5,000 km.

As for the power, diesel engines have much more torque even if the rpm range is more limited.  The gearing takes care of the difference.

An example is the difference in performance between the Focus 2.0L (gas) and the Focus TDCi (diesel).  The gas Focus has more HP but the diesel Focus has much more torque.

In a race, the diesel Focus would edge out over the gas.  Why do you think Tuazon Racing are using Focus TDCi race cars?

What do you expect from a 17 yr old 2nd yr college student? Live on his own? This isn't America you know. Hahaha.

so what is your point then?  daddy is richer than us?

pathetic poser.

Don't you read first before you answer to what i type here? It thought that it's priced 2,050,000. That's what i saw here at TG's buyers guide. Then they changed it because i posted to their facebook fanpage that their bmw 135i coupe price is wrong and the correct price is 4,850,000. So they changed it.

whatever...

Car Comparison / Re: 2010 Sportivo vs 2010 Innova
« on: March 19, 2010, 04:59:42 pm »
The Toyota Innova is the better choice.

The Isuzu Sportivo is simply too old.  You'll feel it the moment to step inside it.  The interior feels it's age.  The ride quality and handling is not much better.   This AUV is overdue for a full model change.

Or maybe you have a lancer that you can`t really afford so what you did is pay 15% downpayment then 72 months to pay? and still you`re having a problem with gas and maintenance? hahahahah! loser. I didn`t want to argue but you started it.

Just a FYI for you.  I paid for my car in cash.  I pay my gas via credit card which I settle at the end of the month, every month. I live in my own condo and I pay for all my bills on time.

I may not be "rich" ... but in the very least I don't have to depend on daddy's weekly allowance to buy my cup of Starbucks coffee.  ::)

One of the reasons why used cars are expensive is brand new cars are even more expensive with all the taxes, tariffs sales margins, sales commissions, etc applied before the car hits the show room floor.

@ghosthunter
Hahaha. I`m just saying that they`re not having a problem with fuel and maintenance. I`m old enough to know our expenses. Got it? Or are you just jealous having a lousy life at your age? Well good for me I`m still 17 and there`s a lot of good things that might happen after i graduate. also bad. Hahaha.

@anthraxx
I`m just showing to ghosthunter that I can say that because of our social classification. We have different perceptions. Can`t you guys just respect that? How old are you guys? HAhahaha.

BTW. Not THEIR income. It`s just my dad who works.

This statement simply shows that this person has not learned the value of money.

It is not the difference of our "social classifications" but how different we perceive and act on them.

As for my life, I would just like to say it was a very good one where all my needs (physically & mentally) were met.
