pick up truck in pinas are very much useful, not only for work but in sports & for family as well. They called it THE CIVILIZED TRUCK , STRADA. BOASTING the biggest cabin in its class.
I have test driven the DMAX, HI-LUX, RANGER & my comments is SCREWED THEM including the FRONTIER.
When this STRADA was introduced here with 2.5L automatic, to my surprised when I start the engine its well tuned, calm but when i step the accelerator, ohh no..cant believe it, pulled like petrol engine.
A copycat FRONT design to the MITSUBISHI DAKAR RALLY CHAMP, so drive like those famous Dakar rally drivers if you have ONE this STRADA.
MANUFACTURED IN THAILAND WITH JAPANESE ENGRS. & tested for thousand of kilometers driving deep dirt from Bangkok to China.

You deserve a bonus from Mitsubishi!... being the first person in this entire world that ever gave the Strada a 5-star rating while almost the entire world had considered it one of the most underrated pick-up truck in it's class. Try driving it up to Baguio non-stop and tell me what happens... then try Pinatubo... these may be enough to make you reconsider what you have just said and call Strada a name that it truly deserves to be called.
OFWorker:
Heyy guys Viper & Triggerman,
As a contract worker, before I decided to release my hard earned money, think a milllion times. Just last February i had my 3.2L 4M41 engine STRADA & I dont have any regret instead satisfaction. I chose it from the Ranger, D-max, Hi-Lux, & the new Navarra Frontier. My choice is based on actual facts & research & reviews. Even in the Philippines motioncars.com , top rated this STRADA from its competitor. I should have gone for the D-max (since my first car was the 2002 XUV Crosswind which performs better but a very slow car) but it is already outclassed due to its low horse power / torque & HI-lux , i am not interested because Toyota at present has even sourced out diesel engine from Isuzu & the more I am not interested with Navarra because when i was in Sahara desert in Algeria, all our service trucks & SUV are Nissan Patrol & Frontier, customized order from Japan. The Frontier when you turn full the handwheel, there's a strange sound ( agik-ik) came from the front suspension. Ranger, not interested with American cars, costly maintenace.
In UK, this Strada is L200 which is very popular & got so many awards.
Moreover, I drove my Strada throughout Mindanao & I dont have any problem.
History wise, Though Isuzu is the first inventor of diesel engine but Mitsubishi is already manufacturing engine before its competitors are born. Find out whats the engine of the famous 2ND world war Japs Zero fighter planes,,its a Mitsubishi.
But thank you guys, all our views, opinion & comments will help us choose the right cars we'll buy.

I did... and as a contract worker just like you, I studied all my options pretty well thru reviews and discussions with people who use them, especially for business and not just for fun ride. As a businessman. besides being a contract worker, I had to see the overall picture of a pick-up's performance, not just the feel of it during it's first test drive, but also how it would become 5 or 10 years after the purchase. After doing that, my list narrowed down to 2 models, the 3.0 L Isuzu D-Max and the 3.0 L Ford Ranger. Where I work here in Africa, the company recently discontinued the purchase of L200 Strada's against the Ford Rangers. After so many complaints from users from different departments, the company decided to discontinue the purchase of L200's and revert back to the Ford Rangers, which had been performing well for all these departments for so many years. The D-max performed pretty well in South Africa and Namibia gainst the Navarra and the less impressive Strada. It did the same in Thailand and in some parts of Europe. I bought my D-max LS due to it's expected long-term performance and reliability, which, so far, is something that I never heard about from any businessman regarding the Strada.
Depending on what you expect from your pick-up, as a businessman, only the Isuzu D-max and the Ford Ranger have a greater promise of long-term performance and reliability. And if you read the more important articles about pick-ups in the same class, there was no way that the Strada ever beat the Navarra in whatever performance and reliability aspect you could relate to. How do you expect the Strada to perform better than either the Ranger of the D-max if it already looked like a helpless baby in front of the Navarra?
Viper:
Triggerman,
You pulled the trigger without any basis. You're the only one in this trucky world underrating the STRADA. You have to read this top gear phil. views all about truck. seach & you shall find. www.motioncars.com choice--top of the line..
where's the Dmax, Ranger that you're bragging. Anyway you are a rich businessman & OFW picking dollars & I respect your opinion.
Am just a PROMDI. Once my bank loan will be approved & I'll go for the least price 1.110M 2.5L GLS model. No need to say why the Dmax now lowered its price.
I can't afford the Ranger costly price & maintenance.
Since this L200/STRADA/TRITON launched in the market, how many units sold worldwide?
Can the Dmax, Ranger outsales?
Triggerman opinions, views is yours. have a nice day buddy.
