I am planning to get this Ford Focus, 2nd-hand. I understand that it handles very well, but any ideas about the fuel consumption? Or will a Mazda 3 S be a better buy? Thanks for your feedback.

if you're after low fuel consumption sir look for the early models of the focus hatchback tdci, it is available in manual transmission. the focus(gas model) is a guzzler in city driving because of its long gearing that is more biased in highway cruising. If you stay most of the time in the city the mazda 3 will be a more fuel efficient ride compared to the focus

i agree the ford focus tdci has even more power and twist compared to it's gas counterpart.
