ford wildtrack or colorado
« on: January 30, 2012, 12:14:01 am »
guys gud evening i have to admit im not fond of pick-ups. but recently im
constrained to scout for a pick up truck that will be made use for the delivery( business related) . the truth is i have never driven a pick up. my current rides are captiva and 320d , so u see im a diesel fed believer. at anyrate i have narrowed down my choices between the wildtrack and the colorado(kung may available na )i would appreciate greatly any thoughts in regard to the above mentioned subject so that my next buy will simply be "tgp forumers influenced buy" . more power to all.

Went to the Chevrolet dealers just recently. The Colorado is confirmed to arrive here this March 2012. Be at your Chevy delears around late March to 1st week of April 2012 and beyond for the Colorado. The auto-tranny will be issued first according to the delaer.

The Ranger will arrive just few days behind following the realease of the Chevy pickup.

Goodluck!  ;)

Both were excellent pick ups but it is hard to judge now, better wait for their local launch

thanks for the reply guys. im really inexperience so to speak when it comes to pick up . this'll be the 1st if just to accomodate the neccessity of the moment. @dtkiko i would prefer a manual tranny. it is in my conviction that since it will in most part of its service be loaded ,and hauling will be for long distances ,that a manual will be more durable . @marenello yes it's true that we cannot opine as of the moment which will be a better choice. but i have a captiva (chevrolet made) and in my 3 years of owning it  i have no issues of whatsoever in regards to it's performance and built but of course i know you will understand me when i say that there are cases when you feel trying a different brand .

i will check and test drive both as soon as it gets to be available . more power to both of you.

Boss mindkinetic,

i've also expressed the same re offering of the manual-tranny Colorado (aside from the auto) at the local dealers and at the Facebook page of Chevrolet Philippines citing na madaming mga Pinoy na traditional pickup owners especially in the provinces....

One of the problem we filipinos have on picking up a car is the fact that we go on popularity, we don't go into details. You have good choices, Ford Ranger and colorado, they have almost the same spec, but for me, the Ranger has a sleek design compared to colorado, eka nga mas Gwapo tingnan, besides the Ranger is equipped with a Rear Locking Differential aside from the standard Traction control compared to Colorado which has a Limited Slip Differential, this is where the difference comes. From the word Limited alone it is not as capable compared to  Locking Differential when it comes to serious off-roading.. In terms of safety and capability, they are almost identical. Of this two Ute trucks? i'd chose the Ranger especially the 3.2 liter wildtrack.

Price/info will be released closer to its launch.
Price estimate by Top Gear Philippines is P1.6M, but it could be lower.
