EXHAUST / MUFFLER for TOYOTA VIOS??? help :(

hello guys i have the new 2012 toyota vios 1.3E. i don't know what kind and brand of
Muffler / Exhaust to install i just want it to sound nice. i asked my friend what kind of muffler did he put on his vios but he said it won't sound the same because i have a 1.3engine and he has
the 1.5. please give some ideas that is perfect for my car. thanks guys

Want something a little raspier but not louder? Get a header. The best money you can ever spend on your exhaust.

Buying a muffler for a Vios will get you a fruitier sounding exhaust and very little to no gain in power. A good header will make it sound deeper and throatier, and will net you between 5-10 horsepower in the midrange, right where you need it.

Speedlab makes headers for the Vios. It's not on their product page, anymore, but you can ask about it.

i wouldnt touch the car if it ain't broke

if however, my old exhaust is rusted and i do decide to turn it into a project car

there are the following
- speedlab ( as nicky has mentioned
- ex nodalo's men ( manila qc)
- ex freddie's men ( san juan)
- ex smt men ( makati)

by ex i mean these were the leading custom shops b4 which due to mismanagement dropped outta the scene

their men are still rumaracket on their own with the bending machines

i know their pipe & material suppliers who supply me when we do our own bending as per muffler fabrication in our office motorpool- we get the guys if we need assistance

One other alternative is to go to a shop like Brodeth or Mufflerland Tomas Morato and have them mandrel bend a custom set of headers for you. Will take a few days, but it's worth it.

yup mandrel bends look more pulido

and of course there is the size distortion made by non mandrel benders

check for cost difference and decide
