guys, im planning to buy a VW beetle to restore but the problem is the car has no papers.the papers were lost according the owner.would it be hard to have it registered?will it be wise to buy the car?

Talk first to LTO if it would be possible to register even without its original papers, if not, then forget that beetle.

You may still buy and restore that beetle, but at your own risk. You can use it for leisurely drive but not for out of town and distant trips since it's not registered.

yes it is possible to have that beetle registered. lto has centralized the keeping of records . they have a soft copy of yhe information of various vehicles in liue of harcopies which are cumbersome. all you need to supply them is the body number of the vehicle in question, the chassis number and the engine number. in the event no history of registration appeared in their record you can always opt to apply for a new registration.

thanks but you would have to pay a lot for the new registration especially if it hasn't been registered in a long time?
