The Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 EX is ok especially the price being affordable for a good looking car like that, but for me I think it's a bit outdated being nearly 4 years old. I'm not sure but I think it's a bit under power for a car that size and an engine made smaller and the fact that it only has a 4-speed if you're getting the automatic variant. If you want a Lancer EX, then go for the 2.0 liter variant instead.

Other cars that I can't wait to come out this year is the new Ford Focus. I saw one in the US and it is quite brilliant being so modern with the looks and the gadgets it carries. A really cool car to wait for. If you can't wait, the Honda Civic is new and something worth considering. The Kia Rio, though not so new, is also quite an interesting car. The 5-door is a looker if you ask me and is quite sporty.

not actually underpowered but just enough for the size and since you're getting the manual transmission variant then it es enough for the daily grind.

I'm not entirely sure. I'm judging by the looks of it so I may be wrong or I may be right. It's like watching a skinny guy carry a backpack heavier than his body. Though he can carry it, he may have a hard time doing so. My Honda City 1.5 liter has more than enough for the size of its body. The 1.3 is under power. If you were to put the 1.5 liter engine on the Civic, however, then it will really be under power. That's why the Civic has a 1.8 liter engine as a base. It makes a lot of difference. The Civic is the same class as the Lancer and that's the reason why I think it's under power with a 1.6 and the Lancer I think is heavier than the Civic.

Kung kaya naman sa budget, then I'd go for the 2 liter instead because of the engine and other add-ons.

Anyways, the Lancer EX is a really good car choice in terms of the looks. It may be outdated, but it can still catch stares of pedestrians. Consider also other factors not just looks though like maintenance, fuel consumption, and resale. With the Lancer EX, it's above average so you can't go wrong with it.

kaya naman ng budget yung 2.0..when the 1.6 liters come out test drive ko muna para malaman ko yung hatak..then ill try the 2.0 to spot the diff.

Cool! A few more wait till July for the 1.6 to be released. Enjoy test driving it. You'll have a blast!

if it's only the matter of engine, ok na yung 1.6 hindi yun underpowered, 117 hp. walang problema yun for its size.
