if i'm not mistaken, it is already available in the market since foton displayed a unit in the powerwheels carshow a couple of months ago. It is a good alternative to the more popular bare bones entry level pick ups like hilux j and dmax lt. Among the chinese brands available in the market Foton is the most competitive in terms of reliability and dependability. Though the thunder is new to the market expect it to perform a lot better than the decent blizzard which is a favorite of mmda and several fleet operators across the country.

i think mas reliable ang jac compared sa foton in terms of chinese brands. mas madami nagsasabing mekaniko na mas madali masira foton e. that's just what i've heard. talo lang talaga jac sa design and they are not advertising as much as foton. macho tignan thunder e

Believe it or not we gambled for a unit of foton blizzard 4x2 to be used as a workhorse for our construction business and after a year it still reliably serves us almost 24/7. Probably you are pertaining to the early released models which are problematic due to their inadequacy for our local conditions but the later models like the ones we have are a lot better.

I'm not really familiar with the thunder since it is relatively new to our market, however based on our experience with the blizzard, foton  proved to be a good workhorse that is able to handle plenty of abuse you won't do to more expensive pick up trucks.

Like every other vehicle it is not perfect though, here are some negatives for the blizzard
- uber noisy diesel engine
-super stiff unladen ride
-interior light is dim and  has short service life
-interior plastics are brittle especially the aircon vents
- inaccurate interior and exterior temperature readout on the rearview mirror

Mechanically the blizzard is good overall and parts are easy to source since it is based on the isuzu fuego also did i mention that the airconditioning is cold?

I asked a friend of mine who owns JAC Trucks and Foton Blizzards for their business.

As for their JAC trucks, he just says don't bother. Theirs, 3 units I think all in all, broke down all in one year with major parts to be replaced to the engine. He says they'd rather go back to Nissan/Mitsu after their experience as they end up having too much downtime with no use for the business.

Their Foton fared better, good, but still with a bit of problems. Essentially, it was a better choice that the JAC brand for them.

That is theirs and not really my own personal experience.
