What's the fuel consumption of 2008 Civic & 2006 Fortuner?
« on: July 06, 2013, 06:41:21 PM »
Hi. I want to know the fuel consumption of 2008 Honda Civic 1.8 A/T in city driving. Can anyone tell me? please?
In addition to that, there a lot of people claiming that the 2006 Toyota Fortuner 3.0 Diesel 4x4 is more fuel efficient than its 2.5 4x2 Diesel variant.. Is this true and can somebody please tell me the fuel consumption of the 2 variants in city driving? Thanks for your answers.. I'm planning to buy a 2nd hand unit of either the Civic or Fortuner. If the fuel consumption of Civic is the same as the 3.0 Fortuner's, I might go for the SUV because NAIA Ave gets flooded easily.

About the two variants of the Fortuner. It's all about power to weight ratio. The 2.5L is too underpowered for
the Fortuner so you have to rev it more to accelerate while the 3.0L has the right power so you can minimize
revving hard to save fuel. :D

So I guess it is true that I'll be able to spend less on diesel if I choose the 3.0l variant..
Thanks for replying bro.

A 3.0 Fort, around 6-8 kml in traffic. The 2.5 MT, around 8-10.

A Civic 1.8 AT, around 7-9 kml.

Of course, all of this will vary based on route.
