Tsk, tsk, I was really expecting the new Bond movie to be nice. So does it mean that Casino Royale was better, or do the 2 latest Bond movies stink?

Haven't seen the whole movie but by just watching 'The Making of...', I can say that it is fairly exciting and as Al said, tiringly fast paced.. But still, I'll reserve my final jugdement after seeing the movie this weekend.. or maybe tomorrow since I'm no longer busy at work. ;D

Quantum of Solace Opened at No. 1 nationwide!

James Bond shook and stirred the Philippine box office as the latest 007 adventure 'Quantum of Solace' opened at No. 1 nationwide with a staggering five-day opening weekend gross of P53.1-million in 255 screens from Nov. 5 to 9. This was announced today by Victor R. Cabrera, Managing Director of Columbia Pictures which distributed the film.

"Quantum's" opening surpassed the debut of 2006's 'Casino Royale' – the first Bond film to star Daniel Craig -- by a menacing 58 percent. It also smashed the record of July's 'Hancock'  as the year's best opening for a Columbia Pictures title.

In an unprecedented rollout, the new Bond action-thriller arrived in the Philippines a full nine days prior to its Nov. 14 debut in the U.S. Local moviegoers took advantage of this rare opportunity, filling theaters to capacity crowds. The film likewise received rave reviews from local critics which further fueled positive word-of-mouth.

Now I'm getting 'less' excited seeing the movie... I think I'll just go with Madagascar 2 sa IMAX. hehehe!

Can we create a chat room? ;)

if you mean here in the forum,

yes you can... create another thread that would be the forum's chatroom.. although I think that would be redundant since the whole forum is already an organized chatroom.

if you mean external chatroom like those in YM/AIM/other chat SWs, that will be up to you and you can just invite forum members to join the chatroom that you will create.

And to think we are currently experiencing hard times. People still go to movies even with high prices. How much does a ticket cost in Manila for 007's movie?

Your car is only good for the days you can drive it.

Speed=Distance over time. The longer your car stays in the workshop, the slower it really is. :D

Last time that I paid for a movie was when a girl friend and I watched 'Kulam' by Judy Ann... I paid 140 each ticket.

::That was also the first time we visited Al's Fried Rice Boy in Greenhills (yumyum), though we didn't watch the movie there since 'Kulam' is not showing in greenhills, and we need to go back to SM Taytay. ::

How much is a movie ticket in Gateway/Shangrila now?

Seriously???

I was even finding the Robinson's cinema rate of P100-110 cheap already!

I remember the time that I saw a movie in IMAX in Mall of Asia, the ticket costs a whooping P400, and I need to buy three of them...  ::)

Yes, seriously. Its only P50, yet I can still hear many people complaining that the prices of seeing a movie is expensive.

By the way, whatever happened to the dude starting the thread about selling viagra and other enhancers? I believe he used 2 handles to create separate threads. If I'm not mistaken, I suggested that his/her threads be removed.
