Here's another batch of cars from the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2012 :

Red Bull Team Manager Christopher Horner driving the Infiniti M Hybrid. It came silently then roared with a familiar V6 howl.

Another British manufacturer - Ginetta G40 - from Leeds. Not as loud but well refined growl.

First-time to hear this German-made Gumpert Apollo and all its 800bhp ear-splitting, eye-popping scream.

Morgan Aero 8 mixed of wood, aluminium and carbon-fibre created a not-so-loud shriek but enough to wake up the neighbours.

World debut of Aston Martin Vanquish V12 was greeted by a massive applause by the crowd - it still looks the same as Aston Martin's of the past.

Maserati Gran Turismo Convertible Sport jaw-dropping looks blended well amongst its British and German rivals.

This Shelby GT500 was shipped to the UK to commemorate the late Carroll Shelby. A fitting salute to America's most outstanding designer, race driver and entrepreneur.

Not to be left behind, Spain flew their flag with this sidesplitting 2012 GTA Spano and it's rampaging 840bhp to the delight of everyone. Viva, Espana!

Sweden paraded this Koenigsegg Agera R hyper car with just 1,115bhp(!) and a jet-like sound to match. Best thing that came out from the Swedish since ABBA.

Ferrari's 458 Italia blasted like any Ferrari - still the best sounding super car out there. Bar none.

Never heard before, but this Arash AF-10LM with a 7.0-litre Corvette V8 engine has arrived with a sensational sound like no other.

AC 378 GT Zagato (Auto Carriers) - another British manufacturer that continues to churn hand-built super cars by the dozens. You can't miss this when it charges your way.

Red Bull's Mark Webber driving this Infiniti Emerg-E concept that'll do 402bhp powered by laptop batteries.

Another British car specialist - Noble M600carbon-fibre everything with 650bhp - beat the Veyron and Zonda Roadster at Top Gear's Race Track, powered only by a Volvo engine.

Soon-to-be-released 2013 McLaren MP4-12C coupe with extra 25bhp from the current version.

This is the updated 2012 MP4-12C GT3 with Jenson Button on the wheels - proud to be British, draped in a Union Flag livery in commemoration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale by Zagato - one of the many creations of the Italian design house - although it looked gaudy in this egg-yellow number.

One more hurrah for the Huayra - Pagani's collaboration with Mercedes-Benz AMG division. Italian's flair and Germany's precision engineering at its best.

Talking about AMG -this 2012 Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG in matt black - sounded rough and almost rolled-over when the driver tried a sharp hairpin turn. Bad driver or just bad handling?

Chevrolet's Camaro - America's interpretation of a muscle car got lost in all that shouting and screaming from its European counterparts. Europe 1 - USA 0.

Another world debut of Infiniti FX50 S developed by a certain Sebastian Vettel, driven by himself and dubbed as the first 'supercar SUV' with a price tag of just around £100,000 (Php 6.8M) - Infiniti's most expensive set of wheels at the moment.

 :) ;) :D ;D

We've said our goodbye to our three-year old reasonably-priced car - 2009 Kia Cee'd GS - with only good words and praise for this groundbreaking Korean car.

Designed in Europe by the same bloke that penciled Audi's range and manufactured in Czech Republic, it was said that the only Korean thing in it is its name, the rest are European sourced. It has been a worry-free motoring with Kia's brilliant customer service, one that other European companies should emulate.

Loved the front light cluster design - worked really well.

Even the rear lights was well-thought and well-packaged.

Just well over 26,000 miles of enjoyable driving - this baby took us comfortably around Britain.

The interior now looks dated, but it's hard-wearing and survived all family life thrown at it.

Being a mid-range model, the front and back seats are just the bad thing that we can only complain about. It doesn't offer enough lumbar support, cushions are rock-hard and after two hours sitting on it, you need to book an appointment with a chiropractor.

The centre-console reminded me of VW Golf's intuitive, simple design - and it's been a doodle to use.

We found it too dark and gloomy inside during those long, winter days - but we get used to its quality materials all-around the dash board and the steering wheel.

An unwanted encounter with a Jaguar XF in a supermarket parking lot in Hampshire resulted to its only glitch in its rather prestine body-work. The bloke in the Jag was apologetic when we found it.

Sad to say, but we're gonna miss this Kia Cee'd as our second runaround car. The combination of compact packaging, quality materials around the dash, contemporary design, brilliant handling and reasonable running cost has left us happy with the experience - it's been such a pleasure.

We were replacing it with a 2012 Ford Focus Zetec, but due to European economic turmoil and the probable collapse of Greek's economy, they can't deliver it on time.

We've waited and waited for the Ford Focus - ordered it last March 2012 and they said it will probably be available by August. Five months for a Focus? Ridiculous.

So we decided to shop around and found this - from Kia Cee'd to ... 2012 Hyundai i30.

We've just collected it with 8 delivery miles and it's racking up miles after miles quite quickly. I'll post an initial report later this week - but so far, so good.

Everyone's commenting on the aggressive look of its daytime running LED lights - it looks better than BMW's angel eyes or Audi's, I think.

I've posted this image way back in 2009, and after over 26,000 miles (41,600kms) around England and Wales - this Kia Cee'd was indeed a revelation.

Not a single rattle you can hear and not a single loose fitting you can see.

From 161 miles new...

...to 26,382 miles in three worry-free driving years.

This 2012 Hyundai i30 (left) works well as our 2nd round around car, paired with my eight-year old 2004 Peugeot 307SW, (right). The Pug has been as reliable as ever for lugging my band equipment and photography gear around Britain.

Wow! I believe your previous posts with the supercars are called panning in photography term. What can I say, you really are a pro, emaniebo. I keep on trying to achieve a clean panning shot but it turns out blur.

Anyway, I don't know what happened to my 1 year old baby Camry (Nikon D3100). I left it in Pinas because of my fear of theft of some OFWs here in Qatar. So, now that I secured my room and closet, since I am living in a mixed-race accomodation, I wanted to send it back here with me. Before that my brother told me that there is something wrong with my camera specially when using the flash and I believe he used the Auto mode when shooting this. See below photos.

So, now I got worried and I told him to stop using my camera since I felt my baby Camry is now in a state of emergency. Then now, he uploaded some photos on his Fb, this time, with some light on subjects. I noticed the black lines are visible on the sides.

I recently read some forums tothis problem but their explanation confuses me. I believe they call this banding[/b]. Is there anything you guys can help? Should my camera in need of repair? I'm now planning on replacing my camera if no solution. Thank you in advance.

Thanks, for the comments, JC. 'Panning' is easy if you understand how your camera works. I shoot in Manual all the time and meter the light manually by myself. Practice and you'll get the hang of it.

Regarding your camera's problem - it might not be banding. Your flash synch speed might be the culprit. Nothing's wrong with your camera, just check your settings.

Try this with your D3100 :

1) Go to Custom Menu Setting and choose Bracketing/Flash.
2) Check your flash synch speed and set it to 1/250.
3) Check your flash shutter speed and set it to 1/60s or whatever is the fastest in your camera.
4) Check your Flash Control for Built-in Flash and set it to TTL.

Now go and shoot indoors using your built-in flash and see if it's still there. Hope this helps.  :)

Mini Cooper Works GP

Took a photo of this one, last July 2012 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, parked quietly away from the Mini's massive stall. Tucked away from the public eye, courting the curious eyes of those who wander away from the milling crowd. It might be the first time it was rolled out from the JCW factory nearby. The splashes of red, black and dull grey (some 50 shades of it) worked well with the GP logo.

Is virtual (Gran Turismo 5) photography considered in this thread?

If not, I'll soon post some real ones.
And if ever, please head down to my Flickr photostreams! [GT5/Real]

I'm not a pro photographer. I just like to take pictures, mainly of cars (duh!).

Got the honor in capturing Bumblebee the day after I got released from the hospital! ;)
