This will be the very first time for me to post a topic so to start it all up, I have decided to start by asking feedbacks from all TGP fanatics who just bought or who knows someone who has recently acquired the facelifted Honda Civic. I recently bought the unit 1.8S A/T variant, Tafetta white, from Honda Cars Pampanga, delivered last July 3, 2009.
To help others guys who might be planning to buy their new daily driver/weekend warrior, here's my personal review of the car: I can say that I made a great choice & that I'm satisfied with the car. It is even made sexier with the latest changes adding more external looks to the already great-looking civic of old. Interior design is wonderful & hi-tech. Driver, Passenger & rear seats are comfortable. The best things I like about my car are the paddle shifters. You can feel a different level of exhiliration when you're driving this baby using the paddles. It's really fun to drive. You can just lay back & drive in D-mode but you can still use the paddles kung medyo mabitin sa overtake. You can feel lakas ng hatak & very fast to engage; or you can drive in full S-mode (sport) for more spirited manual driving without the hassle of having to use a clutch. The engine is powerful and airconditioning is very cool. Even with full passengers and lots of baggages in the trunk, going up the mountainous trails of Kennon road and Marcos Hi-way on different occasions, walang kahirap-hirap. It's very stable at high speed, I only dared reaching speeds of 180kph along a stretch of the SCTEX, I felt it can go well beyond 200+kph with ease pero medyo kinabahan na ako
. "Misty" as I now call her, already ran 6k+ km on the odometer for the 3 months that i used it, so you can just imagine how much fun I had driving it
. Best FC i got was 12.8-13 km/Li mixed city(20%)/Hi-way(80%) driving. I beieve it can even get better as the engine sets in fully. I only wish they lower the price tag & that they include an onboard FC meter, 60/40 split folding rear seats, among others. Right now I am a very happy owner of the new facelifted version.
