unintentionally that is. She was stuck in traffic using my car at the Floodway bridge in pasig. She miscalculated the manual transmission and the car went backwards hitting the behicle behind her.. she still wants to use my car but im afraid she might do it again.

Is there some sort of aftermarket part that helps the vehicle during uphill stops so it wont go backwards? I dont know what thats called. but some help would be appreciated.

Lee17:
just found out what its called. Hill-Climb Assist Control. Is it possible to get it installed from a third party?

Feeter Silverster:
On a Manual Tranny vehicle, everything is upon driver's control. When you put the gear in neutral or when you stepped on the clutch, the car will go free- wheeling.
Just be mindful to apply the brakes, there are foot brake and handbrake in able to control every situation but no any special gadget to assist her.
If you got an Automatic car, put it in D and it won't go backwards in any situation. Just release the brake pedal and it'll move forward.
Goodluck next time.

Feeter Silverster:
I think the hill climb assist control is available only on automatic transmission, whereas added power was applied when climbing a hill, specially when approaching steep hills slowly. I think they're available on some SUVs and pick-ups.

mitsugas:
much better kung pag praktisin mo ung half clutching in an inclined roads para may controllado mo at di madaling umatras ang kotse.
