Well too bad for him, yan din kasi delikado pag may extra ka pa ginagawa aside from F1. Mark Webber had an injury with his shoulder from bike din ata last year di ba?? pero mas grabe ito.

Sayang si RK but the question is wil we see KR back from rally? Alam ko free sha to go.

the long wait is over, let's get this season rolling!!!

tests opinions

ferrari - 150th italia and FA look strong and reliable but i think they are still behind the bulls though closer.
redbull - issues aside for MW and SB they have the best car but not the best driver
mercedes - they've closed the gap, and i can't wait to see if schumi and brawn can win it again
mclaren - full of potential, i think they are hiding something from the tests
renault - dark horse

pirelli will be a mystery. kers plus the adjustable wings will provide early action and mayhem

australian gp bets:
1. alonso
2. schumi
3. vettel

For this season, can we make it 5 places (1st to 5th)? What do you guys think? :)

Same mechanics as previous years:
- bets should be in before the start of the qualifying session
- points will be awarded for each correct bet (ie. correct driver in the correct position they finished the race as announced by the FIA)
- highest score at the end of the season will be crowned the Top Gear 2011 F1 Champ and will receive a special gift from Top Gear Philippines (hehehehehe! hope VBS reads this and agrees!!!!!!  ;D ;D ;D)

my tentative bets for Australia, going with the bulls:
1. vettel
2. webber
3. alonso

if we agree to include 4th and 5th, my additional bets would be:
4. schumi
5. rosberg

I prefer just the podium finishers..hirap na pumili ng dalawa pa eh :D

but heres my 4th and 5th should others agree to it.

4 Alonso
5 Schumacher

great race to start the season. new toys and tyres are reasonably good for added overtaking and spice.

ferrari needs to improve parang match lan sila ng renault. mclaren closest rival to redbull. the bulls are on a different league but i think they wear out the tyres faster than the rest.

scores:

deyn man: 25
robin: 12
mika: 0

wohohoy! hehe  ;)

i didn't think Mark needed the last pitstop... would have placed him in 4th... with approx 24sec to go in and out of the pits, that would have surely given him a cushion from alonso... he didn't look like the determinde Webber we saw up to the last race of last season... parang matamlay and palying it too safe...

are the KERS mandatory ba? The bulls should have just removed the system to make their cars lighter! they didn't use it anyways... unless the design of the car had KERS in mind and removing it would really put balance off?!?

exciting season! still not much info with regard to pirelli. but i'm sure most f the teams would adjust as they get more info (particularly mercedes)... suprise performance from lotus renault! heck, sheer speed, they even beat the prancing horses!

i think the bulls will start using the kers at malaysia. they say it's lighter than the rest. webber stopped again because he was getting caught on prime tyres ata.

the bulls removed the KERS in Australia. but they will run it in Sepang in two weeks time. The pirelli tyres seem to perform well however the drivers must be very gentle on them coz once you start degrading them, they degrade rather too quickly.. probably why mark had problems with it. he will soon get along with it.. i hope! haha

Its ironic that i wanted to only predict the podium finishers but then again we all agreed on giving the top 5 bets. and hello hello i got points for the 4th place man!  ;D

Hello F1 buddies, long time no chat. Anyway I'm really veering towards Ferrari and this time they're struggling. I will not join you on your betting but I will still be F1 fan. I really don't like the F1 rules and regulations since last year, but what can I do...
the excitement in me had diminished and the least I can do is to watch and enjoy every race and follow the career path of the drivers...
Parang untouchables na si Vettel sa bilis ng Renault ngayon...

Update on Points:
deyn man: 50
robin: 12
mika: 0

yehey!  ;D ;D ;D but with 5 positions or 80points per race, with 17 races to go (total of 1,360 points up for grabs), it's still a long way to go!

Galing ng Renault- Lotus team ngayon, 2 consecutive podium finish, Ferrai wala pa ring podium, siguro pakamot-kamot ng ulo sa Alonso... waaaah, habol Ferrari, wake up your horses...
