HELP: New car recommendations

Hi!

Bibili po kasi ako ng bagong kotse (yahoo!). Papalitan ko na ang Honda ESi ko (baby, sorry but daddy needs to move on...). Pero sa dami ng sasakyang available sa market ngayon, sobrang nahihirapan akong pumili. Salamat po in advance!

  Requirements:
    1. Price: Max 1.3M
    2. Transmission: Automatic
    3. Seating: at least 5 average sized adults

  Intended use:
    () Daily drive to work (Tiendesitas to Philcoa)
    () Weekly drive (during weekends) from Pasig to Los Banos, Laguna

  Special considerations:
    () Fuel consumption and maintenance cost should at least be average to similar segment cars
    () Looks - yung gwapo  ! hehehe

I'd go for the new Civic 2.0 09 or the new 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer EX GT-A. Very nice interior that comes with the 9-speaker Rockford Fostgate sound system. Runs in a 2.0L 6-speed CVT Transmission that is very fuel efficient (around 13km/per liter highway drive). Exterior is excellent, with the new front grills, side skirts, a nice spoiler; and new tail lights and HID lamps as well. Besides you hardly see these babies on the road.

Ford Focus TDCi can also be your other choice. Run's in about 21km/L on highway, super efficient. Matching it with the V-Power Diesel, you get the best out of its performance. The looks is good also, but the only thing I don't like in the new model is the side mirrors, to big than the old model.

The Honda Civic 1.8S, the Mitsubishi Lancer EX GLX are good choices. The Cruze LT is one good alternative

get the mitsubishi lancer ex gt-a or wait for the all new hyundai elantra next year. The chevy cruze is also a good alternative, so is the hyundai tucson gls 4x2

Try the compact SUVs like Tucson or CRV perhaps

Maganda nga po sana kung SUV pero kulang po ata ang budget ko especially kung diesel variant ang kukunin ko. Tingin ko po kasi mataas masyado ang FC ng gasoline powered SUVs.

Anyway, for the sedans, mukhang ito ang choices:
  1. Mitsubishi Lancer EX
  2. Honda Civic
  3. Chevrolet Cruze
  4. Ford Focus

I'll go to the showrooms now with these cars in mind! Update ko po sila kung may natipuhan na ako. Salamat po ulit!

Hyundai Tucson CRDI VGT GL variant. medyo lagpas nga lang ng 1.3M pero hindi naman aabot ng 1.4M. in my opinion, worth it naman. tignan mo din.

I checked out the Tucson CRDI variant at Hyundai Marcos Highway. Wala daw pong available unit at hindi sila maka-commit ng availability date. Yung magagawa lang nila sa ngayon is ilagay ang pangalan mo sa pila... Plus, if may changes sa price while your waiting, affected ka din nun...

Salamat po sa suggestion, willing naman akong mag-antay kung may definite date. Mahirap na po kung March na wala pa ring unit.

Anyway, ito po ang naging priority list ko:

  1. Lancer EX GTA
  2. Honda Civic 2.0s

Test Drive na lang at pipili na ako. Salamat po sa lahat ng replies.

so kung yan ang choices mo, IMO go for the Mitsubishi Lancer EX. i think mas matipid sa gas yun kasi naka-6 speed CVT compared sa Civic na traditional 5 speed A/T. and mas gwapo tignan yung Lancer EX. Extra bonus na lang yung super features ng Lancer EX GTA. hehe. good luck on your new car.

I think the lancer ex is the better car of the 2 plus the fact that it is newer and younger than the civic. The current civic is nearing the end of its model cycle

I just got back from Honda Libis and Mitsubishi Marcos Highway. According to Honda, they expect a minor facelift on the 1st quarter of 2012 (some changes to the front grill and body kit). Regardless, mukha pong Lancer ang kukunin ko. Nabighani at nagdidilim na paningin ko to get my own after the test drive.

BTW Bigforce, gaano na po kayo katagal nag-aantay? Kung ganun po ang case at nasaluduhan kayo ng mga pinakamamahal nating MMDA at pulis, anong ginagawa niyo? Extendable po ba yung papers? Saan po inaasikaso yun?
