Cool... 8) but it looks like "american".  :) (IMO) Maybe the complete version would make it look like a bavarian roadster.... ;)

While that particular color (champagne?) is horrible, I find the whole car much better than its predecessor (save the uninspired taillamps).

Three cheers for Adrian van Hooydonk. We no longer have to live with Chris Bangle's crap.

I'd rather buy a M3 than this! Considerable still though.

It's ugly, the rear end looks like a bloated 911 and the rest is just dumpy. Also, it is fat and ponderous, overall. It's not lithe and athletic like the old 80's era 6ers.

From Winding Road & WCF:

BMW's Batmobile. The complete one looks hot. It does look like an M6 up the front.

That is unbelievably good! Jeremy Clarkson even said in one of his articles that he is already wanting the new Z4...I applaud Adrian van Hooydonk for his work...It is much better than Bangle's rubbish...

We should also give credit to the actual designers of the new Z4.  ;D

Juliane Blasi, exterior designer of the new Z4.

Nadya Arnaout (driver's seat), interior designer of the new Z4.

There won't be an M-version of the new Z4, at least for now. I also think the V8 M-Power engine won't fit under its low hood (remember the M3 with a higher hood still needs a hood bulge?)

Anyway here's something close to a Z4 M-car...
The Z4 sDrive35is

Its powered by a 335hp version of BMW's 3.0 liter twin-turbo inline-6. It also gets an M-aero package & suspension upgrades.

The Z4 M Sport package (sDrive30i shown)
