Toyota Vios to be recalled by Toyota Motors Philippines?
« on: August 23, 2007, 01:09:29 pm »
I talked to a friend who is planning to buy a Vios. Then, someone told him that Toyota will recall the Vios because of some quality issues. Is this true? :)

For me, it would be better (to have a recall) than having a "secret" recall/replacement being done on your car. Especially if has certain safety issues attached to it.  Some local car companies are too conservative on keeping the brand name untarnished.

There's nothing wrong with rectifying a possible problem.

Just seen yesterday at 24 oras balita sa GMA7, a Vios caught fire. It's a fleet for med reps and the driver (a med rep of course) said that he saw some smoke coming out of its hood. He pulled over at once and reported the accident to the traffic officers. When he come back to the car, it's already on flame and he can't do anything to stop the fire. Maybe this is the one they're trying to recall!!!
