Hi Guys. I just wanted to ask for your suggestion.
I own a 1984 Ford Laser Ghia A/T and the compressor has a leak.
Is it worth getting it repaired or just buy a surplus?

Bring it to your friendly aircon shop, parang mas maganda ang replacement kung may budget kayo para tumagal pa.

Take proper advice from a good mechanic and repairing is the best way to modify it as per requirement.

Hi,
I have a Vito 2006 model in Australia and now it's the 5th time that my a/c compressor has blown on me.

My auto electrician, who has worked on many of these cars with the same problem can't seem to find what the issue is.
We are all confused and scratching our heads.

Basically, I have had the compressor changed, condenser changed and the whole a/c flushed out and checked. We have also put a universal thermostat that runs directly onto the compressor which shuts it off if it's over worked... But it still seems to blow.

Every time I have a new compressor put on (aftrrmaket compressor), it only lasts about a month or two.

Does anybody or has anybody had the same issue and know a solution to this because it has cost me too much money and time.

Check if the refrigerant you're using is pure (R134-A), here in Phils there are bogus refrigerant (freon) which are tampered with  lower class freon (R12 or something) that my aircon technician considere one of the reason why compressors malfunction.
Also if you could revert back to orig thermostat, and return it to stock settings, it might do the trick.
