Ken Block is known for taking things to the extreme as proven by his many Gymkhana videos. Well, he's apparently taken his over-the-top driving antics to another level by equipping his Ford F-150 Raptor with tractor treads.
Calling it the Ford F-150 RaptorTrax, Block describes it as "the ultimate backcountry snowboard expedition vehicle."
"This project is something I've had in my head for a while now," shared Block. "I absolutely love my daily driver Ford Raptor, especially since I live out here in the mountains of Park City. So to build this mountain assault vehicle with a Raptor as the base platform made total sense to me. It's an absolute beast of a machine, and I’m stoked with how it's turned out. Next up is for me to take it deep into the backcountry to help me and some friends slay some powder on our snowboards."
Using a stock F-150 Raptor as a donor vehicle, Special Vehicle Concepts in California fitted the truck with snowboard racks, a roof basket, a rear-mounted winch, interior storage for snacks and drinks, an exterior stereo setup for playing music on-site, exterior-mounted Rigid Industries lighting rigs, and four Mattracks tractor treads.
Powering the truck is a Whipple supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine, and keeping its occupants protected are a full roll cage and Recaro seats.
Block added that the RaptorTrax will appear in a full video that will be released later this year.
