Toyota 86 Sightings Motorcade

Car enthusiasts in Metro Manila were delighted to see a fleet of the Toyota 86 sports coupes being driven around last week. We even held a photo contest and asked you to take a snapshot of the "Toyota 86 Sightings Motorcade" should you be so fortunate as to catch it (check out the winning photos here).

TopGear.com.ph staff writer Patrick Tadeo and videographer Seka Cabatit tagged along for the ride, witnessing for themselves just how giddy bystanders reacted to the sight of cruising 86s. Here's a short clip to give you an idea of what transpired during the Toyota 86 motorcade.

    I want this for Christmas. No more pick-ups (sorry, Ranger). No more minivans (sorry, Alphard). And definitely no more of those ridiculous SUV's and cross-overs that we Filipinos are so crazy about.

    Nice car! Unfortunately, this car is not meant for philippine roads.

    The traffic here will make it useless. Kung wala naman traffic, puro naman lubak so hindi rin makaharurot. Expressways also have a speed limit of 100kph.

    Now if we were in germany, where the autobahn has no speed limit, this would be perfect.

    There are a lot of reasons why SUV's are popular here in the PI.

      it depends on you...di ka nman makikipagkarera para magpabilis at 100kph lagi takbo mo..saka di nman lahat ng road sa pinas lubak lubak..lalo ngaun nation wide pinapaayos kalsada sa pinas..

    Nice vid, but a little engine/exhaust noise would've made it a bit better. :D

    Nice thought Isdgenie, but maybe they pulled- off the fuse for odometer so it wont register mileage and they can just detail them and sold it still as brand new.
