Benelli’s entry in the midsize adventure tourer category, the TRK 502X, is now available in the Philippines. The local distributor of the Italian motorcycle brand in San Fernando, Pampanga, recently held a livestream event announcing the arrival of the updated model.
Just like its road version, the new TRK 502X runs on a 550cc DOHC liquid-cooled two-cylinder engine that can produce 47.6hp at 8,500rpm and 46Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. Its suspension package is a combination of a 50mm upside-down fork up front and a rear swingarm with adjustable central monoshock absorber for bumpy roads.
The bike is equipped with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels, which are paired with 110/80 and 150/70 tires, respectively. A 320mm double disc up front and 260mm disc in the rear provide the stopping power.
Benelli has refined and raised the position of the TRK 502X’s exhaust to accommodate off-road riding. The manufacturer has also made the handlebar and clutch lever adjustable, and introduced an aluminum alloy luggage rack and practical pawls. Other features of the 213kg adventure tourer include a 20-liter fuel tank, large windshield, backlit handlebar control blocks, logo decals on the mirror and grips, not to mention standard plastic and aluminum handguards.
According to Benelli San Fernando, the 2021 TRK 502X comes in yellow, white, gray, and black color schemes, and is available for P395,000.
