2012 STV Auto Rally to be staged at Clark Freeport Zone

Sunshine Television--producer of both the Motoring Today and Auto Focus TV shows--has announced that it has secured a deal with the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) for staging the 2012 Caltex STV Auto Rally Corporate Challenge (ARCC) at the Clark Freeport Zone. The event is scheduled on March 3, 2012.

"The ARCC is one of the major events organized by STV for Socio-Com Foundation for Asia in their joint advocacy of promoting road safety," says STV chairman and CEO Ray Butch Gamboa. "It is a motor sport that is not based on speed but rather on the skills of competing drivers, as well as their time and route navigators, in negotiating given routes at precise times and all within established traffic rules and regulations."

The yearly participants of the event exclusively include automotive manufacturers and importers, which are themselves committed stakeholders in road safety.

Shown sealing the agreement in the photo below are CDC president and CEO Atty. Felipe Antonio Remollo (seated, left) and STV's Gamboa. Also present at the MOA signing are Noemi Garcia, CDC tourism promotions manager; Noel Manankil, CDC vice president for finance; and Georges Ramirez, ARCC event director and chief steward.

The 2012 Caltex STV Auto Rally Corporate Challenge is expected to have a starting grid of 64 automobiles of different brands and makes.

Hi, Kim. We don't think this will be televised live, but we know for sure that a summary coverage of this event will be shown on a later date on either Auto Focus or Motoring Today (or both).
