3 new roads to look forward to in the next few years

Three brand-new, hopefully flawless and high-quality roads are set to be constructed in the next few years to ease the lives of many motorists.

The government is launching the projects next week in line with the Aquino administration's public-partner partnership program.

Citing a statement from the Malacañang, GMANews.tv said the following road projects will be offered to private investors:

1. The Cavite-Laguna (CALA) Expressway, which consists of a six-lane 27.2-kilometer stretch that will connect Bacoor and Dasmariñas, and a 14.3-kilometer road on the Laguna side of the expressway;

2. The Ninoy Aquino International Airport Expressway link, which will connect Villamor Air Base in Pasay City to the coastal side of Cavite from Bacoor to CALA via the South Luzon Expressway and the Skyway; and

3. The Central Luzon Expressway that will start in Metro Manila and end in cagayan Valley.

"The projects are part of the President's infrastructure program to attract more investors and help decongest Metro Manila," the Malacañang statement said.

The projects will be launched at the Public-Private Partnership conference from November 18 to 19.
