BMW wraps up production of 1-Series M Coupe

TopGear.com.ph Philippine Car News - BMW wraps up production of 1-Series M Coupe

If you're planning to buy a BMW 1-Series M Coupe but haven't gotten around to doing so, now would be a good time as the German carmaker has reportedly wrapped up its production.

"Production of the 1-Series M Coupe is finished," said Karl Magsuci, marketing manager for BMW's authorized distributor in the Philippines, Asian Carmakers Corporation, at the recenly concluded Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).

Don't fret though as there's still an orange 1-Series M Coupe that is available via ACC and it was on display at the MIAS.

BMW originally planned to end the production of the 1-Series M Coupe at the end of 2011. Due to the strong demand for the car in the global market, however, BMW decided to extend its production by a few more months.

    Mas maganda ang built ngayon ng mga Korean brands, SPECIFICALLY, HYUNDAI. Huh?!
    You get that same amount of power, awesome suspension and steering.! And ang bentahe ng Hyundai na POWER and FUEL ECONOMY, hand in hand.

    Ngayon nasa Paseo de Sta. Rosa ako. At kanina sa SLEX, NAG pumilit na namang habulin ako ng Montero. Puta, iwan nanaman. hahahha! IWAN! hahaha! At nakipaghanulan sa akin yung X5. SHET! Walang panama sa Sta. Fe ko. normal nga sa akin yung cruising na 150 kph. 5th Gear lang yun! At kaya ko pang umarangkada to 220 pag nag 6th gear na ako.

    Ano na MOntero? Ang super-under-powered-at-bland na Fortuner? At ang napaka weak na Everest? Say niyo? BULOK!

    at yang m1 na yan? MAWALA ka na sa production. nandyan pa ang Hyundai to give us quality cars.

    Iba naman talaga ang BMW as compared sa Hyundai, buti na lang pati moderator ng Top Gear asar na rin kay HyundaiBest. hehehe
    Pero yung display ng Elantra Club opposed to BMW display sa labas ng WTC nung MIAS is a different story.

        sir feeter ;The 1-Series is powered by the same 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engines of previous model 3-Series, with the naturally-aspirated 128i engine producing 230 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque and the turbocharged 135i engine producing 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. although by spec sheet the genesis reflect 303 hp and and 361 twist it is a v6 engine. believe me sir when translated into road performance the inline penta engine of bmw 1series coupe will run faster.

        kung meron sana 316i pwede narin.. hindi naman ako sobrang speed freak tama na kung naka BMW ka.. at syempre pagdating sa german cars BMW tlaga ang pick ko.. sporty and masculine di gaya ng Merc na too sexy (girly) or porsche na sobrang hardcore..

          Ako din mas gusto ko BMW kesa Benz. Pero mas mayaman ang dating mo pag naka Benz ka e noh? Pero ang pogi kase ng BMW cars compared sa Benz. Mas luxury naman ang dating ng Benz.

          Last 2006 merong 316i E90 siya. Eto yung pinaka "base model" ng 3 Series. Dati it costs P1,875,000 yata. Tignan mo na lang yung mga 316i na for sale dito sa Internet. Mga mura na.

              Ganyan din yung samin. Black yung color then 38. Thousand km. ang mileage. Then runflat tires. Ang mganda sa run flat tires, kahit na flat siya pwede mo pang itakbo and then yung masama, pag sobrang lambot, lilitaw yung mga ply nya.

        o.t. kung papipiliin ako between Honda City at Genesis Coupe.. sa Honda City parin ako hehehe! no offense sa Hyundai fans pero dun tayo sa practikal diba.. nung una bilib ako sa hyundai pero nung nasira ang side mirror (palang) ng GETZ ng tropa ko.. 3 months bago dumating ang parts.. plus kahit saang casa ka pumunta sobrang crowded.. you know what I mean..

    if you get the oppurtunity to own a BMW whether brand new or pre-owned , you will develop a certain level of attachement with the brand . the chance of buying another BMW is very high. in fact majority of BMW clients are repeat clients already. the service is also topnotch. they just treat every client special. perhaps due to the understanding of the "client for life philosophy". but best of all is the driving experience with a BMW: you will just have a certainty that there is synergy between you and the car; man and machine ika nga. BMW simply the best.

            sir wala pong problem and diesel engine tech ng bmw . i cannot speak for other euro brands. ung bmw po ay pwede tumakbo sa kahit na ordinary na diesel provided pasok po sa octane rating provided by the manufacturer.

              ahh.. diesel user kasi kami dati. inayawan lang namin nung nagkanda sira sira oil filter nung pajero at fortuner diesel namin. kaya ngayon puro gas na gamit namin. Naaalala ko nga mga BMW diesel cars. Pano kaya maintenance nila? Pero ikaw pre ilang octane rating ng diesel ang kinakarga mo sa 320d mo?

                yung sa akin sir i stick with vpower diesel. sa maintainance nong una mahal ang pms ng BMW kasi once a year lang ang pms. then obligatory ang replacement, meaning kahit na di pa naman sira papalitan na as part of maintenance procedure. pero ng maintroduce ang idrive ng 2011 may self diagnostic system n po ang BMW na may idrive, ang advantage po nito ay selective na ang dapat palitan un lang talagang sira o required sa pms schedule.likewise german parts lasts longer so sulit din po kahit magpalit ng parts. sa diesel ang kaiingatan lang ay ung turbo dahil un po ang masakit sa bulsa , pero ngaun aside from technology there are ways and means in your driving habit that you can adopt in order to prolong the turbo of your diesel engine.

    Banggaan nlang kami ni HyundaiBest ng sasakyan.. gamitin nya pinagmamalaking SANTA FE nya tapos sakin HUMMER jafeyk na gawang CAVITE.. tingnan natin kung di siya malasog sa loob ng santa fe nya! hahahaha! hay wala bang bagong article sa TGP? miss ko na din pagka nonsense ni HB kahit nka2high blood..
