Budget for Daang Hari, NAIA and other road projects approved

TopGear.com.ph Philippine Car News - Budget for Daang Hari, NAIA, other road projects approved at P2.39 billion

The Department of Budget and Management has reportedly approved the P2.39-billion budget needed to fund various road projects under President Benigno Aquino III's Public-Private Partnership (PPP) program.

According to Rappler.com, the P2.39-billion budget will be released to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and used for the preliminary requirements of the projects, which, the agency hopes, would result in their quicker and more efficient execution.

"The Aquino administration is laying down the proper groundwork for our private sector engagements so that project implementation will proceed seamlessly," DPWH secretary Florencio Abad was quoted as saying.

Of the budget, P259.2 million will supposedly go to the Daang Hari Road Project with about P177.3 million to be used for right-of-way claims and P35.2 million for the widening of the bridge at the Susana Heights Interchange; P284.33 million will go to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Expressway Project for the initial payment of right-of-way claims and the clearing of affected structures; and P1.85 billion for the agency's nationwide road and flood control projects.

So, how do you feel about these projects?

A the budget is way too big. Traffic nanaman to.

The budget numbers are actually not that big considering the projects would cover the whole country and even if you just consider the budget for the Daang Hari Project, it is very reasonable.

Scientific facts about Asphalt: It is WATERPROOF (it seems dito sa Pinas, that fact is FALSE, sa dami ba naman ng potholes), Fireproof (No data), Shockproof (No data). Only weakness is petroleum leaks. That will destroy the asphalt. Also, analyze the soil underneath. Baka isa rin sa reasons for cracks/potholes ay hindi meant for the soil and load ng traffic.

Nice comment!
