What you see here is the very first Ferrari F12 Berlinetta to arrive in the Philippines (at least to our knowledge, unless there's another one sitting in the warehouse of some gray-market importer). We found this at the showroom of the only authorized Ferrari distributor in the country, Autostrada Motore.
Showroom officials wouldn't tell us the going price--lest the BIR go after the buyer--but they confirmed that this unit is already sold. They expect two more units to arrive this year and another four next year.
Now, this is the fun part of the story. A not-so-little bird in the showroom told us that the buyer of this Berlinetta purchased this car apparently because he urgently needs to grow his small Ferrari collection now. Why? Because he wants to buy a LaFerrari. The connection? Well, it is said that the ultra-exclusive LaFerrari is only sold to "very special Ferrari clients" since only 499 units will ever be made. And you become very special to Ferrari, our source told us, if you own at least five cars from Maranello.
Wow. Rich-people problems.
