Koenigsegg is no stranger to the prestigious Monterey Car Week. Last year, the company introduced us to the One:1 "megacar." This year, the Angelholm, Sweden-based supercar builder wants to outdo itself by presenting not one, but two mega rides to the world.

The carmaker will be rolling out the Agera XS and the Regera on US soil. The first one is essentially an Agera RS specc’d out with stuff like an extremely large rear wing, as well as painted in an intense shade of Karosserie Orange complemented by a clear carbon center strip.

The Agera's interior is just as unique as its outer appearance, thanks to black Alcantara accentuated by orange stitching. Of course, the cabin can switch between a closed roof or an open top in minutes. That lightweight roof can even be stowed up front under the hood cover. Plus, it comes with a slew of creature comforts that make it a truly livable megacar: adjustable pedals, ceramic brakes with smart ABS, an active lift system for the suspension, active shock absorbers, G sensor, and tire-pressure monitoring, just to name a few.

Power is courtesy of a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that puts out 1,160hp and 1,280Nm of max torque. All that power is transferred to the drive wheels via a CIMA seven-speed gearbox with paddle shifters and integrated electronic differential.

The Regera is just as impressive as the first time we wrote about it. This Koenigsegg features a tech-savvy twin-turbo V8 engine combined with three electric motors. The innovative power source combo is good for a whopping 1,500hp and an earth-shattering 1,999Nm.

One very notable feature this megacar boasts of is its ingenious Direct Drive. This transmission utilizes a single gear to harness the engine's maximum potential. The result is 0-300kph in 10 seconds, while the 400kph mark comes in about 20 ticks.

Both the Koenigsegg Agera and Regera will be extremely hard to come by. The latter is even limited to an ultra-exclusive 80 units. As to how the company will top this in next year's Monterey Car Week, we have no idea.
