Mitsubishi Motors Corporation doesn’t hide the fact that it will stick to churning out SUVs and crossovers. It has even said that it may not field a new Lancer model anytime soon. As further proof of this, the Japanese carmaker teases us with an upcoming SUV-slash-crossover that will debut at this year’s Indonesia International Auto Show.
The front end features the distinctive Dynamic Shield fascia that was first seen on the Outlander and the Montero Sport. The body boasts free-flowing lines that give it both depth and visual flair. Moreover, the high ground clearance and flared fenders add to the sturdy demeanor.
While it may look like an SUV from the outside, the cabin can accommodate seven passengers in MPV-like comfort and versatility. Occupants can relax in the spacious interior, complete with a host of creature comforts and amenities.
At present, Mitsubishi hasn’t revealed much else about this concept vehicle, including the name. This gives you all the more reason to check back with us by August 11, when the Indonesia International Auto Show opens. It should be interesting to see what this potentially new model is, and what segment it will compete in. Stay tuned.
