Ford Expedition by DUB magazine

To help spice up the image of the 2015 Ford Expedition, the American carmaker is displaying three customized versions of the full-size SUV at the ongoing Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. All three display vehicles are EcoBoost units. The show opens today, November 4, and will run until November 7.

To make this happen, Ford collaborated with three industry builders: DUB magazine, Tjin Edition and Vaccar.

"The builders really outdid themselves with these one-of-a-kind versions of Ford’s full-size utility vehicle," said Mike Nicopolis of Ford’s SEMA aftermarket support group. "The 2015 Expedition offers great space, performance and capability in an impressive package that is the perfect platform for creativity and customization."

The Ford Expedition by DUB magazine (top) features an exterior that has custom mesh accents and 26-inch DS644 concave wheels from Dropstars Wheels shod in Pirelli tires. Custom DUB Edition badging, tinted windows and an integrated radar detection system can also be found on the customized unit. Meanwhile, the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 was given an exhaust system from Borla Performance.

The Tjin Edition Ford Expedition (below) complements the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with a charge cooler kit from Vortech Engineering, custom side exhaust from MagnaFlow, and high-performance oils and lubricants from Royal Purple. The chassis was customized by Unique Fabrication and features Air Lift struts and an Accuair air management system. The brake system is from Baer Brakes, and the alloys are 24-inch custom Rotiform wheels with Falken tires.

Lastly, the Ford Expedition by Vaccar is finished in custom Vaccar two-tone matte mountain gray, with paint and accents from BASF. The exterior boasts Vaccar Grille Guardian brush guard bull bar, swivel hooks by Monster Hooks, spring steps and a hitch stop from Go Rhino, and MegaWarrior cargo basket from Yakima Products. The rollers are 20-inch M15 wheels from Mamba Off-Road Wheels wrapped in General Tire Grabber AT2 tires.

Something tells us Ford Philippines might do something like this for the Manila International Auto Show next year.
