GMC made headlines when it first revealed the full details of the next-generation Hummer. There were two big changes to note: First was that the former gas-guzzling vehicle would now be electrified, and second was that the Hummer would debut as a pickup truck.

The all-new Hummer has since been fully unveiled, and it’s quite the beastly-looking machine. That said, we reckon not everyone found the pickup body style to their liking. So, for those of you who share these sentiments, we’ve got some important news for you.

GMC has now confirmed that the all-new Hummer EV SUV—yes, an actual SUV—will be revealed on April 3, 2021. There’s not much to go on, though, because the carmaker has chosen not to release any info on this upcoming Hummer.

Nevertheless, we’re expecting it to be as tech-loaded and as impressive as the electric truck that broke cover last year, especially since GMC revealed the launch date along with the release of recent footage of the Hummer EV testing in sub-zero conditions.

The new clips show the all-new Hummer sprinting through slippery snow and ice, and it sure looks promising. That drivetrain and all the tech the truck packs make us even more excited to finally try out the EV once it officially becomes available. You can check out the clip below:
