While a certain red-badged Civic stole the show at the Honda Cars Philippines booth, other models in the Japanese carmaker’s corner also deserve your attention.
At the ongoing Manila International Auto Show, HCPI showed off the BR-V 1.5 Navi Modulo, the Civic RS Turbo Modulo Sport Concept, the HR-V 1.8 EL Mugen, and a special variant of the City created just for MIAS.
This new BR-V variant has a Modulo tailgate varnish, 16-inch alloys, and sports pedals. Given the ‘Navi’ in its name, expect it to have built-in navigation as well.
The best-selling Civic gets new black under spoilers, along with a black roof and door mirrors. The dark hues complement the Rallye Red paint well. There are also Modulo accessories and 17-inch matte black alloy wheels.
For the HR-V, improvements include a new grille, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a tailgate spoiler. Prices for the new HR-V Mugen are P1,410,000 for the 1.8 E and P1,520,000 for the 1.8 EL.
Finally, as an act of appreciation to the Filipino customer, HCPI has introduced the City 1.5 VX Navi MIAS Edition. It also has Modulo kits—front under spoiler, side under spoiler, rear under spoiler, duck-type trunk spoiler—and daytime running lights. Only eight units of this special City will be made available, at a cost of P958,000 each.
If you’re in the market for one of these Hondas, brave the heat and drop by the Manila International Auto Show to avail of test drives and special packages.
