While a lot of the buzz regarding Honda's presence at the 2016 Philippine International Motor Show revolves around the (supposed) arrival of the BR-V, the Japanese carmaker has plenty more to offer than its much-awaited SUV.
Honda Cars Philippines will be launching a limited-edition variant of the City subcompact sedan at the event, as a big thank you gift for the Philippine market's continuous support for the company. The City 1.5 E Limited Edition has a few aesthetic tweaks, as well as a couple of added convenience features.
Outside, the car has been equipped with door visors, a 'Limited Edition' emblem, and a set of daytime running lights. Safety and convenience-wise, this City has been installed with speed-sensing automatic door locks that initiate whenever the car reaches 15kph. It also unlocks the doors when the vehicle is set in park. Lastly, the Wave Key now features a panic button which sets off an alarm and flashes the car's lights during emergency situations.
The City 1.5 E Limited Edition comes in Tafetta White, Gold Metallic Brown or Ruby Red Pearl, and carries a P824,000 price tag. It will still run on the same 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine and CVT.
While the variant will be available at Honda dealerships nationwide beginning September 14, customers who visit the Honda booth at PIMS 2016 can take advantage of exclusive offers and packages for the car that are only being offered at the event.
