So, the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show is opening its doors on November 22 at the Tokyo Big Sight convention center in Odaiba. Needless to say, Honda Motor Company will be among the major Japanese carmakers looking to make a lot of noise at the auto show. Honda's booth theme this year will be, "Live outside the box."
Honda intends to follow its own advice by exhibiting a compact open-top sports car called the S660 concept, as you see in these photos. For now, not much has been revealed about the car apart from this short official description: "A next-generation open-top sports-type mini vehicle that features a dynamic and advanced styling design, as well as various new initiatives such as a Super cockpit interior that thoroughly pursues the ultimate space for the driver."
We're tempted to think this is the successor to the now-defunct S2000, which bowed out of production in 2009. But the S660 could also have hybrid propulsion. Or maybe not. Best to attend the actual unveiling. We can't wait to inspect this car on the motor-show floor.
