Mazda PH makes available more affordable variant of 3 sedan

TopGear.com.ph Philippine Car News - Mazda PH brings in more affordable Mazda 3 variant

Mazda is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the3 compact sedan and hatchback this year. To mark the milestone, Berjaya Auto Philippines, Mazda's official distributor in the country, has put on sale the limited-edition Mazda 3 Maxx.

The Mazda 3 Maxx is basically the 1.6-liter V sedan, down to the four-speed automatic transmission and 16-inch wheels, but at a much lower price of P899,000--or P100,000 more affordable than the V variant.

Perhaps this is Mazda Philippines' way of attracting more customers to buy its compact sedan before it brings in the all-new 3,which, according to Berjaya Auto Philippines chief executiveSteven Tan, will happen sometime next year.

What do you think of the Mazda 3 Maxx's pricing?

Still expensive. No foglamps, manual A/C, non-optitron gauges, bla bla bla. However, the Yojin3 Maintenance Program is a different story......

Still not much of an argument against Elantra 1.6 or Focus 1.6

Maxx is probably Mazda Phil way to clear the inventory w/o conflict to previous statement that Ford Philippines priced it just right during their time.

A way of emptying the inventory to pave its way for the new 3. I bet they'll price the upcoming 3 just right! Go Mazda!
