Toyota's United Kingdom customers, particularly those who are looking to buy an 86 (called GT86 in the UK), are lucky since the Japanese carmaker is offering them not only a new entry-level variant to the popuar sports car, but also a special-edition model and some aftermarket add-on packs.
To make the 86 even more accessible to customers, an entry-level variant known as the Primo is now being offered. It comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, limited-slip differential, aluminum sports pedals, power-folding door mirrors, front fog lamps, twin tailpipes, the Toyota Touch multimedia system, Bluetooth, and a new tire-pressure monitoring system. Most importantly, it's only available with a manual transmission.
Toyota UK is also getting a special-edition model of the 86 known as the Giallo. This model gets the exclusive Giallo Edition heated black leather seats for the driver and the front passenger, a black GT86 side decal, gloss black door-mirror housings, and a vibrant Giallo yellow metallic paintwork. Additional options are the single-stripe decals for the hood, the roof and the trunk at no extra cost. Only 86 units of the Giallo will be made available to UK customers, with each one individually numbered.
Meanwhile, current 86 owners can avail of a Carbon Pack, which adds carbon-effect door-mirror covers and rear-bumper protection plate to the car along with the addition of rear parking sensors, or a JBL Pack, which features nine speakers and a 440W DSP amplifier.
Green with envy, 86 owners?
