Chevron (formerly Caltex) Philippines raised pump prices by as much as P1.25 per liter Tuesday morning.
Chevron hiked diesel and kerosene product prices by P1.25 a liter, and gasoline products Gold, Silver and Silver E10 by P1 a liter. Regular gasoline price was raised by 50 centavos a liter.
"Upward adjustments are due to higher prices of MOPS (Mean of Platts Singapore)," said Chevron spokesperson Toby Nebrida in a text message.
MOPS is the benchmark used by importers of refined oil products.
Petron implemented a price hike of P1.25 for kerosene and P1 for gasoline prior to Chevron's move, the Inquirer reported.
