DPWH advisory: Road works from April 13 to April 16

The Department of Public Works and Highways is taking advantage of the sunny summer weather by stepping up its road-improvement works in Metro Manila this weekend. Determined to complete the repair and maintenance activities of major roads before the start of the new school year and the arrival of the rainy season, the DPWH has scheduled the sectional repair of the following major thoroughfares from 10pm of April 13 to 4am of April 16:

• Aurora Boulevard (southbound), Pasay City;

• South Superhighway (southbound) from Zobel Roxas Street to Quirino Avenue;

• Along Osmeña Highway (northbound), Manila from Zobel Roxas Street to Quirino Avenue;

• EDSA (northbound and southbound), Mandaluyong City;

• C-5 Road (southbound), Taguig City;

• Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard, Sampaloc, Manila, from Sociego to Rotonda;

• A.H. Lacson St., Sampaloc, Manila from Rotonda to Ma.Clara (both sides);

• Nagtahan Flyover Service Road from R. Magsaysay Blvd. to Ruiloba Street;

• España Boulevard, Sampaloc, Manila from Corola to Welcome Rotunda;

• Pasong Tamo Avenue between Makati Diverson Channel and EDSA (center lane);

• Daang Maharlika, Muntinlupa City;

• Aurora Boulevard (eastbound outer lane) from Anonas to F. Castillo Street;

• EDSA, Quezon City (northbound) going Cubao area, the second lane from sidewalk between Gate 3 and Gate 2 of Camp Aguinaldo;

• Boni Serrano Avenue between 10th and 7th Avenue;

• Boni Serrano Avenue, left lane from EDSA between 1st West and Gate 3 and between Gate 3 and 1st Avenue;

• Araneta Avenue from Baloy Street to Landargun Street (first lane from the sidewalk);

• Fairview Avenue (northbound and southbound, second lane) from Fairlane to Camaro;

• Mindanao Avenue (northbound, second lane) from Road 20 to MG Square;

• EDSA, Quezon City (northbound, third lane) from Corregidor to Fema Road;

• EDSA, Quezon City (southbound, third lane) from Bansalangin to West Avenue; and

• M. H. del Pilar Sreet in Malabon City.

According to the DPWH, the repair and maintenance of these national roads have been coordinated with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). For any concern, complaint, suggestion, recommendation, or observation, people are advised to call 165-02 or (02) 536-3477 or to send a text message to the agency by typing "DPWH (your message)" and sending it to 2920.

    pakiusap lang po sa mga taga dpwh. ayusin nyo lang ang ginagawa nyo para di na ulit ulitin kasi low quality standard lagi.tsaka pag gumagawa kayo ng daan lagyan nyo naman ng safety warning para iwas disgrasya kasi baka sariling pamilya nyo ang mabiktima e kawawa naman kayo.tsaka please lang yung sirang daan ang gawin nyo. kasi yung maayos na daan ang ni re repair nyo. bakit po ba kasi ganun???pwede nyo po yun maipaliwanag sa tagalog na buong katothanan???Mahalnyo po ba ang inyong bayan???pakisagot lang po dito naman kahit yung spokesman na lang kung wala kayong panahon.Please.TY

    when i was in the province i hear a lot (and i mean A LOT) of people saying (and i quote) "ung mga engineers n gumagawa ng road works binubulsa ung isang layer ng road." and i keep hearing those kind of comments from many people in our province. hope its not true. cause that would suck!
