First peek: Top Gear Philippines' April 2012 cover

Top Gear Philippines' April 2012 cover

Here's the cover of our first-ever Geek Issue (April 2012). Consider this our tribute to the graduates of 2012, as well as to those brainiacs who count themselves as car enthusiasts. On the cover is the all-new Subaru XV. We get first dibs on the car that's as intriguing in the way it drives as with how it looks.

Other highlights of the issue:

* The science of aerodynamics;

* The job of a product planner;

* The tech-laden Toyota Prius C;

* The controversial ninth-generation Honda Civic;

* The Ferrari 458 Italia, driven and examined at Clark International Speedway; and

* A comparo between the new BMW 1-Series and the Lexus CT200h.

Oh, there are also the Chevrolet Orlando, the Lexus LF-LC, the Nissan Navara Tech Xtreme, the genius behind the Nissan GT-R, and the geeks of Sim Racing Pilipinas.

Get your copy of the Geek Issue at your favorite newsstands, still at P150.

    Nice the Subaru XV as the front cover looks way cool. The geek issue will be interesting to read especially the review on the XV and not to mention the science of aerodynamics.

      Upgraded version of the Navara sir. Head unit is replaced with the touch screen, yung headrest may monitors na din. And may WiFi na ata. I saw one unit last week dahil nasa Casa kami ng Nissan, nagpa-PMS nung 2011 Navara LE namin. :)

      Upgraded items in terms of gadgets, pero sa technical specs wala pa din ata nadagdag sir. :)

      Extreme anemic-power siguro sir ibig sabihin niyan hehe....
      The torque peaks only at a single-spot of 2000 rpm and it dives off rapidly along the rev-range, whether you like it or else hehe....

      Before 2000 rpm there is also an anemic torque pull.... Incidentally, amongst all Japanese pickup, the Navara is the fuel thirsty of them all because of its power/ torque characteristics.... Peak power of 174 hp does not tell one the whole story about how the engine behaves across the rev-range.... Unfortunately, this won't be explained by any sales agent whether under the reason that he doesn't what to or he doesn't understand about the product he's selling, it's one of the other though ;-)
