  • spiderpig2894 Mar 06 2013 @ 07:25pm
I have seen a Wildtrak here in Davao in November or maybe just an orange Ranger fitted with Wildtrak accesories to look like a real Wildtrak. Same wheels, same everything!
  • nicologarcia Mar 06 2013 @ 07:28pm
    typo "eight-liter fuel tank"
  • vince4290 Mar 06 2013 @ 07:29pm
    Eight liters or eighty?
  • motoriety Mar 06 2013 @ 07:29pm
so much torque!!! never had a pick-up before but this could make me a believer!

by the way, did you guys mean it has an EIGHTY-liter fuel tank?
  • boss joey Mar 06 2013 @ 07:31pm
Fitted with an eight-liter fuel tank, the Ranger Wildtrak comes with a choice of two common-rail Duratorq TDCi diesel engines and six-speed transmissions.

    fuel efficient??!!...hehe
  • nivlem31 Mar 06 2013 @ 07:54pm
why??? no MT for the 3.2L?????
  • Kyoichi Sudo Mar 06 2013 @ 07:56pm
This is how a workhorse should look like!!! Extreme features w/ unbelievable prices!!!

    Take this, CHEVY COLORADO!!!
  • seacruiser78 Mar 06 2013 @ 08:05pm
wish to have one this top of the line ranger
  • dredd0 Mar 06 2013 @ 09:23pm
They're going 'Colorado' on the pricing. Might as well pimp out an entry-level 4x2 if you're only after the looks (sans the orange interior). But then 470nm? All hail the King.
  • The Stig Mar 06 2013 @ 09:27pm
my goodness!.Ford Ranger had really set the bar high in the midsize pickup competition here...what will the toyota, mitsu, nissan and chevy would do about that?.Mahihirapan siguro magcompete ang parating na new d-max...but still anxiously waiting for a concept picture of mitsu-nissan 1 ton pickup collaboration. :)
  • neutral Mar 06 2013 @ 09:31pm
Sayang walang 4x2 but I like the chili orange parang toyota 86 & civic SIR exclusive, pang sport talaga.
  • GotToRead Mar 06 2013 @ 10:29pm
No top of the line MT? OK :(
  • warak1422 Mar 06 2013 @ 10:38pm
timing na timing sa opening ng Ford d2 sa Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines hehehehehe...
  • gogogo Mar 06 2013 @ 11:30pm
very nice specs but no 3.2L M/T variant. :(
  • jmchrstphr Mar 06 2013 @ 11:40pm
Now this is what I call a stunner! Just a bit let down on the top variant that's only offered in A/T. :(
  • Mr. McMahon Mar 06 2013 @ 11:58pm
Ford Ranger 2.2 XLT 4x4 A/T & MT please Bring it.
  • JoHunter Mar 07 2013 @ 12:31am
I want this. I really do.
  • vgpena Mar 07 2013 @ 01:57am
Very interesting is the fact that the price difference between the 2.2-liter Wildtrak and the 3.2-liter is only PHP 130,000.

Does this mean that a 4x2 3.2-liter XLT would only cost that much above the 2.2-liter one too? :D
  • rhounael Mar 07 2013 @ 04:31am
I'm a fan of the Trailblazer as I own one but for pick-ups, this one stole my heart :)
The only comparison I have will be on the Power & Torque...
Chevy Colorado/TB has 470Nm with a 2.8Ltr Engine while the Wildtrak has the same torque but with a 3.2Ltr Engine
Sa Power na lang lumamang ang Wildtrak with 17HP
So if I'll have the chance to buy a new truck, I'll probably end up with the 2.2AT
    • gvm0116 Mar 07 2013 @ 09:31am
The thing is, the Colorado achieves its peak torque at 2,000rpm while the ranger gets to utilize all its power at a leisurely 1,500 - 2,750 rpm. That's a whole lot of difference especially when it matters.
      • rhounael Mar 07 2013 @ 09:36am
        Agree on that sir
Anyhow, with regards to fuel consumption, a lower engine displacement will be better
        • gvm0116 Mar 07 2013 @ 11:42am
That's a given already. Apart from engine dispacement, the Ford has 1 more cylinder. But I think the people who will opt for the 5-cylinder Ford wouldn't mind the fuel consumption difference. If fuel efficiency is what comes first to mind, just get the 2.2 litre ranger or the 2.5 colorado.
  • ying Mar 07 2013 @ 06:21am
Have ordered my 4x2 Ranger automatic since October of 2012. Hangang ngayon wala paring delivery baka ganoon din dito sa 4x4. Perhaps an upgadre will be better.
  • scoobydoo Mar 07 2013 @ 08:36am
    release the everest version!
  • maranello_5775 Mar 07 2013 @ 08:57am
The show will run from April 4-7, 2013 not 5-7
  • camebeyond Mar 07 2013 @ 09:32am
No wonder, colorado has so many display in davao while no display on ranger in ford davao. what sucks the ranger buyers were the long listing of orders... d supplies seems not met d demand.. kaya pag ford ang gusto mo, u have2 wait for at least 3 months b4 u can have d unit....

4x4 M/T. To auto manufacturers and/or distributors: at least for the pick-up segment here in our country, please offer a top-of-the-line (TOTL) variant with manual transmission. Halos wala na nga manual options sa TOTL compact cars at SUVs, mawawala pa rin sa pick-up truck segment?
    • vgpena Mar 08 2013 @ 02:11pm
TOTL models with M/T doesn't sell well I hear. So having that option is often times unprofitable (can't get bulk discount from where you import them).
  • neutral Mar 07 2013 @ 11:18am
@vgpena. Logically yes if there will be a 3.2L XLT 4X2 variant of the ranger. It's more on the 3.2L 4x4 XL A/T which will sum up to 1.3M if 130k is added to the SRP of the 2.2L 4X4 XL A/T.
    • vgpena Mar 08 2013 @ 02:04pm
Hmm, add 20-30k more to turn it into XLT instead of just XL making it around 1.35 million. Just as cheap as the top-of-the-line Strada!
  • carwiki Mar 07 2013 @ 11:55am
Ford Ranger is the fastest pick-up yet.
  • one.edchelle Mar 07 2013 @ 09:38pm
this really is the real pick-up
  • raphnext21 Mar 08 2013 @ 12:02am
Same engine as the mazda bt-50 , 5 in line cylinder and same 6 speed automatic, i think.
  • black07 Mar 08 2013 @ 12:03am
actually the line up is now 7 models, the 3.2 XLT will also be available officially....and i believe they are now "unofficially" available..i see 3.2 wildtraks with dealer plates and yellow conduction stickers
    • Kyoichi Sudo Mar 08 2013 @ 12:25pm
same here. may nakita na akong WildTraks last nov and dec sa BGC at Greenbelt w/ dealer plates and yellow cs...
      • carwiki Mar 11 2013 @ 09:56am
Maybe those were owned by Ford executives.
    • vgpena Mar 08 2013 @ 02:05pm
I haven't seen 3.2 XLT models around yet... where do you see them?
  • harvzz Mar 08 2013 @ 02:41pm
Just checked out Ford PH website, they've removed the 2.2L 4x2 XLT AT and the 2.2L 4x4 XL MT variants.....

That means they're not offering it anymore ? Why ?
    • Tandang Sora Mar 08 2013 @ 03:14pm
Baka late ang website kasi ngayon lang ni launch ang 3.2
      • harvzz Mar 08 2013 @ 03:29pm
The Wildtrak variants are already posted and they removed the two I mentioned...
        Only 4 variants remains there....
        • warak1422 Mar 08 2013 @ 04:00pm
kahit totl na Ranger Wildtrak lang okay na hehe
          • harvzz Mar 09 2013 @ 05:43am
Eh pano yung ang budget is just good enough for that 2.2L 4x2 AT ? sana ibalik nila ang variant na yun....
  • Radenbach Mar 08 2013 @ 04:34pm
i don't get the point of having roof rail, sport bar, box rail. it ruins the appeal of a real truck for me.
    • harvzz Mar 09 2013 @ 05:49am
I do agree with you......parang pang porma na lang eh......hindi na yung pang workhorse talaga...which is the true purpose of a pickup truck....
  • koneleaves Mar 10 2013 @ 08:21pm
Finally.. Pero parang may kulang ang features wala ung HDC and Locking Rear Diff.
  • jfbenz Mar 17 2013 @ 07:30pm
    WHAT?! There's no 3.2 M/T...........
  • jfbenz Mar 17 2013 @ 07:40pm
    3.2 A/T?!.. YOU DON'T DO THAT TO ME HA!.. M/T plsss :(

mas masarap mag off road pag M/T MAS RAMDAM!! :))))))))
  • BOOGIECAT Mar 20 2013 @ 04:14am
Another very hard to get product from Ford!STOCK MORE UNITS OF THESE PLEASE!!!If you can't as usual then there are other alternatives like the stylish BT50 and brute Colorado!
  • biggie323 9 months ago
