Get Chevrolet's Spark or Cruze for just a 10% down payment

Chevrolet Spark

Here's great news for those who are looking to buy either the Spark mini hatchback or the Cruze compact sedan: Chevrolet Philippines has just launched a sales promo that allows buyers to get either car for just a 10-percent down payment. That means you can now drive home a Spark for as low as P54,889 or a Cruze for as low as P85,889. We won't blame you if you can already picture yourself driving one this afternoon.

Both cars come with a standard five-year warranty, free 24-hour roadside assistance for three years, and a 10,000km PMS interval for a worry-free ownership experience.

If this afternoon is too impulsive for you, you have until May 31, 2012, to decide if you want to avail of this promo.

Mahal ngayon ang Spark at Cruze kaya may promo ngayon para maging mabenta..

Mahal? Did they increase the price recently? It's currently 598k for the 1.0L AT and 1.2L MT, without any discounts thrown in.

Personally, I've always avoided promos like these - Almost always, Low DP = High Monthlies (And very high interest rates as well). I prefer promos that give away lets say 50-100k worth of accessories or parts, or 0% interest if you pay in full in 1-2 years. Or better yet, a drop in price for a limited time :)

madami kasi car buyers nowadays na willing mag monthly ng mahal kesa mag dp ng mataas kaya madami ganitong deals across different car brands

yeah right.. making a small down payment doesn't mean you will be paying less for the car.. mas mahal nga babayaran mo kasi panalo ang interest eh compare to big down payment. imagine maliit down mo then compounding ang interest.. mag down ka na lang ng 20% at least smaller ang interest na babayaran mo.

a dealership earns in many ways ( t least here in the phils.) one way is by selling the car, definitely the car's price will have a mark up for the purposes of earning. no.2 thru the bank that approved the loan ( the dealership get's a monthly incentive factored in your amortization) that's the reason a dealership will always be glad to accommodate long term installment plans. no. 3 commission drawn from the insurance of a vehicle. given these avenues to earn the dealership has a way to spice up the financing scheme. one way is to introduced low dp ( this results to paying a higher premium for your car) , when a subsidy is given to a particular car; the dealership can play out the promo; for instance if a particular car receives a 500k discount from srp the dealership can now offer the price of the vehicle lets say 2years zero interest, but this is made possible because the srp is slashed of a 500k discount already. case in point the idea is to entice the buyers and to solicit an immediate decision. for instance while a 20% interest seems an intelligent way to procure a car ( a higher dp is even better) as this will result to a lower amortization and interest , some see the 99k very appealing, why? because 99k is easier to raise vs a six digit figure in your dp. the truth is i find the leasing program of toyota as the better option, you will shell out a minimum amount and the monthly is cheaper. leasing is the way to go , more importantly if you tend to change your ride after 3years or so since no matter how expensive your buy in a car it will depreciate substantially.
