Honda donates

Honda Motor Company and the Honda Foundation are jointly donating roughly P1.5 million to the relief efforts in aid of the victims of the southwest monsoon rain brought about by Typhoon Haikui last week.

Honda Motor Company, which is based in Tokyo, Japan, is the parent company of the Honda group of companies in the Philippines, while the Honda Foundation is the working organization for the corporate social responsibility activities of said group of companies.

The Honda group of companies in the Philippines, meanwhile, is composed of Honda Philippines, a manufacturer and distributor of Honda motorcycles and power products; Honda Cars Philippines, a manufacturer and distributor of Honda automobiles; Honda Parts Manufacturing, a manufacturer of automobile component parts; and Honda Trading Philippines, a trading company.

whats to like about just donating a pipsqueak?? If that company is like HONDA.. -_-

tell me how will you like a man w/c you give a 100M pesos(by buying their Products) and paid/help you back by giving a 1.5m peso?? sheesh.. -_-
      • spherion03 11 months ago
At least they donated. Give it a break!
      • markdejesus76 10 months ago
        1) Why gain profit? To return the investments you gathered in making the product work not to donate. Dre, ano gsto mo? Idonate nila 100million? That's even more than the state can even help. Be realistic. If they do gave 100M pesos, what would you expect from their products? If the money that will be used to even atleast improve their facilities, give their workers right benefits and privileges, improve their lineup little by little. Honda Motor Co., a Japanese based Honda, is not that capable to give donations with the likes of Hyundai, Volkswagen, Ford, GM, they can't even match Chinese companies in gaining from their products. Why? Because Japanese economy is not that strong NOW as with likes of the home base of its competitors. Giving Php1.5M is already much. It's not like that it's the only donation they did. They also help other countries as well and even when Japan was struck by tsunami and quake. To lose a big sum of money with these kind of efforts is not acceptable as a company but they did it as a corporate citizen. They help countries world wide to develop eco-friendly machines and work hand in hand with their statesmen to develop people that would care for the world. Do you know how much was that? That program can feed the whole Filipinos in a year. And yet, here you are, complaining why such a big company like Honda Motor Co., only donated Php1.5Million. Damn kids. Please understand the big picture before you talk like someone who can surpass someone at something like a breeze.

    A multi billion dollar/peso company just donating a P1.5M?

well its better than nothing.. -_- nice 1 honda..

this is how you show your help to filipinos who supported you?? tsss
    • Rem 10 months ago
Sir @jayzeter19, magkano ba yung tinulong niyo? :)
  • gogogo 10 months ago
At least tumulong. Same with toyota na nagbigay ng discounts sa parts. Eh yung iba ano ginawa? Wala nga eh.. Tsk tsk tsk....
    • jayzeter19 10 months ago
Honda is much better giving cash donations.. Toyota who can only give discounts and their the country's #1 car distributor is too much unfair in my point of view.. We filipinos supported this Japanese brands but look on how they repay us?? By cheap 20% discounts?? why not 50%?? by 1.5m?? why not 5m??? Knowing they have a lot of sales!

People should be happy to what good deeds others are doing. It is not a matter of how big or small, IT IS ABOUT THE VALUE OF WHAT YOU GIVE. Let's not be narrow-minded about the situation. They have Honda Foundation. That's their CSR. They give all over the world. Don;t expect them to give 100% of their sales. They are companies. And at first, it is the people's fault why it is flooding high here in the Philippines: people living near creeks, throwing garbages everywhere (cigarettes, candy wrappers, etc at canals, streets). The government is doing their best to make our country better, but some people are just so irresponsible in taking care of the environment. What we must do is help at the very least we can, rather than COMPLAINING ABOUT OTHERS' GOOD DEEDS that we can't even exceed.
      • gogogo 10 months ago
pwede na mentality? nagbigay na nga ng tulong tapos sasabihin na kulang pa. in the first place pwede naman silang di tumulong eh pero pinili pa rin nila magbigay ng tulong. asan ang pwede na mentality diyan?
  • RS500 10 months ago
bakit may unlike? tol kahit Chery Philippines mag donate saludo pa din ako.
    • gogogo 10 months ago
      • jayzeter19 10 months ago
So if your a Flood victim who lost his/her house, daughter, son, food, water or whatsoever and you own a Honda.. would you be satisfied if you learned that this big company which you supported for many years would only donate 1.5m?? Is that fair to you?? that the help is like just a price of a Civic or a CR-V?
        pls do understand my point.
        • jayzeter19 10 months ago
multiply the victims to a thousand. Do you think 1.5m would suffice?
          • spherion03 11 months ago
at least tumulong, don't be so narrowminded... si kailangan lahat nlng ng tumutulong pag-iisipan mo pa ng masama, and at first kasalanan rin naman ng tao kung bakit may baha e, mga nagkakalat, no respect to the environment, living near creeks etc, even the government are doing what is right, tapos pag-iisipan pa ng masama.. just do your job in helping others rather than complaining about others' good deeds.
          • markdejesus76 10 months ago
Bakit?
        • GotToRead 11 months ago
Dude, what's with the rage? I know your standpoint, I can understand you but please don't put values on donations. Kahit piso man yan o limang piso basta nag-donate makakatulong.

...at dahil multinational company sila obligasyon ka nilang buhayin after mong bahain??? whatta...
    • spherion03 11 months ago

OF ALL THE THINGS pwde mong i-reklamo, ung AMOUNT pa! Eh kung sana in the first place ang tao ndi TAPON NG TAPON NG BASURA SA NDI TAMANG LUGAR, this could have been less worse. I remember a story I saw sa FB on how an American is overwhelmed at the Pinoy's response to the monsoon. Everyone's a hero. That guy said "I wish you could all see the amazing community spirit, charity and compassion in the PH. What's happening here totally blows away the response of people devastated by Hurricane Katrina (yeah, Americans think of themselves more, based from a cousin of mine living in Tampa, FL.)

    • Feeter Silverster 10 months ago
