House of Representatives okays bill for hybrid, electric vehicles
The House of Representatives recently passed on its third and final reading House Bill (HB) 5460, which provides incentives for the manufacture, assembly, conversion and importation of electric, hybrid and other alternative-fuel vehicles--just before Congress adjourned for the Lenten break.
Considered a House priority bill, HB 5460's green light comes just weeks after lawmakers approved it on its second reading.
With both the Congress and Senate close to passing this bill into law, it certainly looks like affordable hybrid cars will soon become a reality.
