Looks like 2013 will go down in history as the year when car companies set out to expand their reach in the Philippines, as evidenced by new dealerships sprouting left and right.
The Covenant Car Company Inc. is among these firms, having announced that a "new-generation Chevrolet Makati dealership will rise before the end of the year" along the automotive row of Chino Roces Avenue. A memorandum of agreement was signed in March between TCCCI and BT Auto Sport, which was witnessed by GM Southeast Asia sales, marketing and after-sales vice president Gustavo Colossi, later cemented by a ground-breaking ceremony.
Chevrolet Makati is one of five new dealerships that TCCCI has added to the Chevrolet network in the Philippines. It is under the Solar Group of companies that is also involved in media, real state and consumer goods.
"We believe in the Chevrolet brand and how it is being managed by TCCCI, said BT Auto Sport president Irwin Tieng. "And because of this trust and confidence, we will harness the full resources available to us to offer the best service to our customers alongside the excellent Chevrolet products we offer. We will do our part in driving Chevrolet in the Makati area and contribute to making Chevrolet one of the top automotive brands in the country."
For his part, TCCCI president and managing director Atty. Albert Arcilla remarked: "In line with our business development plan, we map out the Chevrolet dealer network to be able to serve our clients better. We endeavor to build strong business partnerships with our dealers, constantly aiming for the brand's steady growth as well as our partners' advancement. With BT Auto Sport as our new partner in Makati, we are confident that they will represent the brand excellently and will play an integral role in the growth of Chevrolet going forward."
With Chevrolet's product line now including the Cruze, the Spark, the Sonic, the Captiva, the Orlando, the Colorado, the Trailblazer, the Camaro and the Suburban, it's only fitting that the American car brand have a presence in as many locations as possible.
