Hollywood actor Paul Walker, who achieved worldwide fame playing the role of Brian O'Conner in the Fast & Furious movie series, reportedly died in a car crash in Santa Clarita, California, on November 30. The announcement was confirmed by his official Facebook page and has been reported by various media outlets.
According to the announcement, Walker "passed away in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives."

American celebrity news website TMZ reported that the charity event was for the benefit of the survivors of super typhoon Yolanda, and that the car was a Porsche Carrera GT. Walker became the second high-profile movie star to die in a car crash involving a Porsche. Pop icon James Dean also perished in his 550 Spyder in 1955.
Walker was 40 years old.
We would like to sympathize with the community of car enthusiasts who grew to love the actor in the Fast & Furious films, as well as with his loved ones who lost a beautiful person who devoted his life to helping others. It is truly a sad day. Well done, Paul. You drove a really fine race.
