Before the 2017 Binibing Pilipinas pageant unfolded this past weekend at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, the contestants traveled through the streets of Cubao as part of the annual Parade of Beauties. Once again, it was Miata Club Philippines (MCP) who played the part of eager chauffeur.

Nearly sixty Mazda MX-5s from various generations served as the official transports of the pageant contestants and VIPs. The car's owners were even nice enough to drive for the parade themselves, though we're sure they didn't much convincing. The iconic car has been the exclusive ride for the parade since 2008.

An added treat to this year's parade was the inclusion of the all new MX-5 RF, the hardtop version of the current generation MX-5. The sleek roadster was quite the hit when it launched at this year's Manila International Auto Show, so seeing them on the road made the parade even more special.

“Mazda Philippines has always been supportive of MCP’s various activities,” shares Bermaz Auto Philippines president and CEO Steven Tan. “Club events such as these enhance the MX-5 ownership experience and further strengthen the emotional bonds between the cars and their owners.”

Beautiful girls riding in gorgeous cars. Sounds like a winning combination to us. If you missed the parade, check out the photos here so you can admire the view.
